Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1982 Honda CB750k Street tracker. This is a fresh custom build, and has been ridden roughly 1,000 miles. Now the bike is tuned, and ready for a new home. This bike was recently featured on www.TheBikeShed.cc website. You can see it, and read my story here: The Bike Shed/ You can also visit my Instagram page to see photos I've posted throughout the process of building this bike. Instagram users can search "ncologerojr", or non-members can visit my page here: ncologerojr Instagram I am a professional firefighter by trade, but I build and sell custom motorcycles in my free time with hopes of one day opening my own business. In the past I have built a nimble cafe for short trips around city streets, some small trackers for friends that wanted to blast through back-woods roads, and some modern sport bikes. Now, I built this bike to handle a bit of everything. I wanted to build a bike that I would still want to ride home after a long day at work, or take to lunch with my fiancee. I focused on quality throughout the build. I didn’t just want it to look nice; I wanted it to be ridden hard, and to last. I searched for a good donor bike, and was able to find a nice, bone stock dohc cb750k to start with. Engine: The bike was completely stripped. The bike had done 47k miles, so the engine was completely disassembled and checked over. The engine was rebuilt with honed jugs, new rings, lapped valves, new gaskets/seals, and cb900 cams for a bit more power. The casings were bead blasted, painted and assembled with stainless hardware. The stock carbs were completely disassembled, blasted and re-jetted. I wanted to ditch the ugly stock airbox, but I was not willing to sacrifice performance by running pods with the old CV carbs. I decided to make my own aluminum airbox that mimicked the function of the stock unit, but fit the bike aesthetically. It took a few tries, but in the end the bike performs flawlessly and I dig the look. Also, I haven’t seen another airbox like it. The exhaust is also one-off. I made it from pie-cutting the stock mufflers/tubing and finished with titanium-wrap to add to the small gold accents throughout the bike. Custom made baffles give the exhaust a perfect growl. Frame: I sand blasted the frame, de-tabbed it, added a tail hoop, and some mounting brackets for the seat. I also used the seat brackets to re-enforce the rear frame section. I slug all joints, and tig weld everything to ensure strength. Electronics: The bike uses a Shorai lith-ion battery that sits in an aluminum battery box that I made to fit under the tank. The stock harness was in great shape so I kept most of it, but modified it to fit the new electronics locations. Most everything is hidden under the tank, and the regulator/rectifier sits under the swing-arm. The bike also received a new speedo with led indicators, smoked signals, and an led brake/tail light. I kept the stock headlight just because I liked it. Wheels & Suspension: The wheels are all new. Chrome hoops with stainless spokes and gold nipples to match the gold drive chain. The front forks received progressive springs, new seals and oil. I didn't want to cut the springs to lower the front end, so the triple clamps are slid down 1.5”. The rear of the bike has new shocks that are 1” taller than stock to achieve the stance I wanted. Seat, Tank & Controls: I made the seat pan from aluminum to fit the frame, and shaped the foam to my liking. I wanted it to be low-profile, but comfortable for long rides. After that, the seat went to Pirate Upholstery in Kingston, NY. I had the tank painted porsche forest green, and choose the seat color to reflect the tan/green color schemes of classic porsche’s. The stock bars were swapped out for Renthal UL’s, and the grips wrapped to match the seat. The motorcycle can be picked up, or buyer is responsible for arranging shipping. If needed I can recommend a shipping company that I have worked with in the past. I will make myself available to work with the buyer or a shipping company for pick-up. The motorcycle comes with a clear NYS Title Certificate. I have sold multiple motorcycles and cars on eBay, all with 100% positive feedback. Please bid with confidence. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns, and I will respond as quickly as possible. I have made every effort to to represent the vehicle as accurately as possible, and the vehicle is sold in as-is condition. There will be no refunds. This is a custom built motorcycle, and the seller is not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur during use. Thank you for looking!
