Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1982 Honda XR 200 This is a 1982 Honda XR 200 in original condition. The XR200’s were a development of the XL185 trail bike and produced from 1980 until 2002. This is the second year they were sold. It has twin rear shocks and a 2-valve air-cooled engine with kick-start only. Due to its lightness and ground clearance it made an excellent backwoods bike. It has drum brakes in the front and rear. This is a great “vintage” looking bike with the twin shocks, chrome wheels and metal gas tank. This is a no reserve auction and will go to the highest bidder of over only $795.00. I have almost that much into this bike and after EBay fees - I will be almost breaking even. Try to find an off road bike ready to ride for less than eight hundred dollars and not have to renew OHV license for two years. The Honda XR 200’s were very popular in the 80’s and are gaining popularity now. In my opinion and many others, these 200 engines are one of the best small displacement motors that Honda ever made and can take a severe beating and keep on running great. Starts right up, first kick rides great and shifts great. It has a big Dunlop D 606 120/90-18 tire in the rear and a Dunlop Geoma 80/100-21 in the front. Both tires are almost brand new – they only have a day (less than 6 total hours) of riding on them. The chrome wheels are in great shape with no dents. It has a DID 520 DS chain that is great condition and the sprockets are not worn out. The gas tank does not have any dents and is clean – no rust. The front fender has been recently painted because it had sun damage and the rear fender has the current green OHV sticker applied. It has a brand new seat cover but the only replacement seat cover I could find was from Taiwan and as you know the Asians do "reverse engineering" and it did not fit "accordingly". So in stretching the cover over the seat pan I made a small tear in the cover. You can see this in the bottom front of the seat on the right hand side. The original twin shocks in the rear work great and still give it that real vintage look and up front you have the original Showa forks that work fine. I have installed a brand new custom made (fork stay bar) front number plate to the front forks. It has a few scratches and is missing paint is some spots, but overall, it is in very good condition for a 32 year old dirt bike. You are welcome and encouraged to start, ride and see this bike in person – just email me. Please see short You Tube video of the XR 200 being cold started and running below: http://youtu.be/zliPQxheSY8 This motorcycle will be sold as-is, with no warranties implied and comes with a valid California title that is in my name and has not been signed and/or dated. Some people will say they have the title, but it is already signed and dated and California DMV will charge you late fees from the date that it is on the title because you only have 30 days to transfer vehicles into your name in California, after purchase. It has a current Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) sticker that is valid for another two years, or June of 2016 – see picture of OHV sticker on the rear fender – numbers covered to protect seller identity. I also have several transport contacts and can get this Honda transported almost anywhere in the United States for much less than most motorcycle transporters and USHIP. I also have transported motorcycles to Australia and Europe and I have no issues selling to anyone out of the country. I know of several international transporters and will charge only $150 to get the bike to the transporter/logistics and fifty cents a mile both ways – you pay the transporter to get it over the ocean, but I will assist with the logistics and finding a shipper. I will also deliver this bike for fifty cents a mile, both ways, anywhere in Southern California. Please check my EBay history – it is at 100% satisfaction for a reason and ninety five percent of my EBay sales are related to motorcycles, motorcycle parts or mini bikes. I have been riding, racing, restoring and collecting motorcycles for over 45 years. Also check out my other EBay listings of an antique General Electric refrigerator as well as a variety of motorcycle and mini bike parts. If you are new to EBay, then you may not be aware that your bid means you are buying what you are bidding on. If you have zero feedback you must contact me to let me know that you are serious about completing the sale or I will cancel your bid. Please, please bid only if you really want the item. I am not desperate to sell, am not a dealer, I don't do this for a living, I am a motorcycle enthusiast. If you'd like any detailed photos of a specific area of the bike, just ask! Please ask any questions you like before bidding. You will be answered quickly and honestly. With all the bikes I own or have owned over the years, I know how disappointing it is when someone over-sells a bikes condition, so you may be sure I won't do that to you. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time in order to sell this item locally.
