Vehicle Detail
First - this car is NOT NUMBERS MATCHING. We recently discovered that the engine codes are wrong so at some point this engine has been changed. So mileage probably not accurate. We are not car restoration people, so have limited knowledge of cars. I can tell you this would be a fun car just to enjoy and work on if you like that sort of thing. The interior is not in terrible shape. I believe the entire floorboard on both sides was replaced, but my memory may not be remembering accurately. It may only be one side. One side was not stable. The dash is cracked and the windows/door mechanics will need to be worked on. I believe at least one side does not crank. (No electric windows) But overall the interior is in ok shape with no big tears in the upholstery and appears to be original. The exterior of the car has had body work and has been repainted with the original starlight black paint. Correct decals were purchased and replaced. Wheels have been painted. This looks awesome from 20' away and when next to it you can find some flaws, however none are big. (at least to us, not being car people) Its been sitting, and as our interests have changed, we would like to get rid of it. Originally we thought it was a numbers matching and paid $11k for the car, then $7k to do paint and body and another $2k just having engine gone through as well as brakes/shocks/hoses/bearings/rods....I have the receipts. Work done in 2006 - 2007. It does run, however it has only be ran about 1/2 hour per year. Just get it out, jump it, and run it down the road a few miles each year. Battery is almost always dead, but I'm guessing that is just from sitting. Engine shop said nothing really had to be done to it. That is the extent of my knowledge on it. Sorry. The window sticker for this car indicates a/c and cb. I have a cb, but make no claims that is the original one. I do not remember the a/c blowing cold, so probably needs work there. So again, taking a big loss on this, but only because its our own fault. Live and learn - please no scammers, have already been through your tactics twice now and you didn't get anywhere. If you want a fun project that already looks good to drive - I think this could be a great car for you! Also, there are a few spare parts which I will throw in as well. I believe there are some interior door panel (came with purchase, no idea if they fit), bought some new gaskets for doors, and various things. No guarantee any of them are worth a darn, but will throw them in. Also a dust cover. Car has been garaged since I have had it and not out in the weather. Winner pays all freight. Reserve set at $10,500. This description is to, in no way, to be considered a full and complete listing of all that is wrong or right with this vehicle. Sold AS-IS. On Sep-15-14 at 18:02:26 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: 9-15-2014: Copy past from answered question about getting up close shots on the paint/body defects: The car has a few paint runs and a few odd spots. Not sure what was going on under the paint - area on back spoiler. I have tried to photograph it and cannot get it to show up. (picture in auction) I don't know how to describe it. I remember the paint guy did the spoiler several times and had issues with it. But just not show car quality. There is also some glue (from blown in insulation that dripped from the ceiling) that is on the drivers side car door. (I think...maybe passengers) I had it detailed and it did not all come out/off. But I have not had anyone with true knowledge work on that area either, so I'm not prepared to say it won't come off. Like I said - great from 20 feet, but up close there are some flaws. Seems like there are some blemishes around the t-tops as well. T-tops have some scratches on them, but nothing terrible in my opinion. I've attempted to take pictures of a paint run that is I believe above the decal in one picture. The scratches of the t-tops in another and the glue spot on the door in another. I took no less than 15 pics each and could not get it to show better. Sorry, but I hope that helps! I can't delete or add any more pictures for some reason. If you want the door picture please send me a message, but it honestly doesn't show much. This is still not to be considered a full listing of what is wrong or right with this car. Thanks!
