Vehicle Detail
Many Beetles I see for sale are either total rust buckets that need engine rebuilds, tacky over lowered show cars that are not practical for everyday use, or original high dollar restorations that you might be afraid to get wet. This car is the perfect Beetle for someone who wants a fun, reliable car they can drive and enjoy right away. I tend to under-describe and over-deliver in my eBay history. This means you will probably be pleasantly surprised when you see the car, rather than disappointed. All in all a real great "driver" condition car. Attracts attention everywhere and has plenty of power for a VW and thanks to its 1776 EMPI engine and WEBER dual 40 IDF carbs, it can be driven everyday traffic. It is quite solid with no serious rust, drives well, stops well and shifts like a new gearbox and clutch. The only reasons this is not a $10,000 car are that there are some minor flaws (chips and some very minor fish eyes) in the paint up close, the headliner has some wrinkles from an amateur installation and 3-4 tiny holes. The seats and carpet look very new. The pans are solid but have never been replaced as far as I can tell, so they tell the story of 50 years on the road. The really good stuff, of course, is the wonderful running big engine, new tires, polished wheels, great seats, lowered stance, cal style window seals and new glass. These far outweigh the minor flaws, which can be easily corrected. Whats it worth? Well NADA says an "average 1964 Beetle" is $9050.00. I'd say this one is probably even better than average.. The vehicle is near Atlanta airport (ATL) for pickup or viewing. The car is sold on its current GA registration in my name and bill of sale only as old cars in GA are not issued titles. Most states accept this and will issue you a title from the paperwork I provide.
