2009 Bonneville "Speed Twin" Special This Bonneville is a one-of-a kind custom that is not your typical custom. More a "Gentleman's Express" than a hooligan bike. The engine is a stock 865cc EFI motor with stock Thruxton exhaust system and intake. The bike was made to look like a factory special, not a rat-rod or racer. Forks are 43mm cartridge-type with adjustable preload and compression damping. Front wheel is a 3.5" x 17", rear is 5.5" x 17". The tires are 120/70ZR17 front and 180/55ZR17 rear radials. Nissin calipers front and rear. All big improvements over a stock Bonneville or Thruxton. Footpegs are Thruxton, with no passenger pegs. There is a centerstand and sidestand.As it is not the original speedometer, actual mileage is unknown, but I know it is less than 3500 miles. The battery is about 4 months old. The bike starts and runs great, rides and handles much better than stock, stops way better than stock. There are no dents, significant scratches, dings, gouges, etc. There is no crash damage. Everything works as it should, and no repairs are needed. No other parts are included. I am selling it because I just don't ride it enough any more, just a couple times a year. It is California titled, registered, and insured to me. If you are a local bidder, I will have the bike at the Venice Vintage Show this Saturday.
