1967 CUSTOM MUSTANG FASTBACK AND MATCHING CAFE RACER!! LOUD, FAST AND CLEAN!! Well after almost 30 years of ownership and a 4 year build process, a recent divorce forces the sale of my custom 1967 Mustang Fastback. This is a ONE OF A KIND custom build that took me 4 years to complete. Its not a "KIT" or Eleanor clone. It is a true ONE OFF BEAST of a muscle car that turns heads where ever it goes. This car was featured on the March 2004 cover of Mustang and Ford magazine. Its won numerous first place and best of show awards whenever its been shown. The best being the "Editors Choice" for BEST MODIFIED MUSTANG at the west coasts largest mustang gathering in Bellevue WA 2005. This car is LOUD, FAST and a HEAD TURNER! Even the Chevy guys say (and they all say the same line) "Im not a Ford guy but that is one BADASS car." Which makes me chuckle every time. The car was totally stripped down as far as it could be. Any rusted panels were replaced which were the passenger floor pan, trunk drops, radiator support and both inner fender panels. The rest of the car was rust free. Frame rails are solid as are the doors, fenders, engine compartment and all other areas where these cars typically rust. This car originally came out of california then spent a few years in Spokane WA before I got it in 1985. The restoration started in 2000 and was finished in 2004. Then in 2005 when the retro Mustang came out I decided that this car needed these headlights and i was right! Without further babbling, heres the Details- THE BODY- 1967 Mustang fastback. 2001 Dodge bright platinum metallic base coat/clear coat with black Shelby stripes. Shaved drip rails, door handles, rocker panels, gas filler cap (relocated into trunk), trunk key lock (manual release behind rear valance). Aftermarket fiberglass cowel hood. One off fiberglass side skirts, side scoops w/grills and upper air extractors (all functional). 2005 Mustang headlights. Custom one off fiberglass front bumper sculpted to fit around the headlights and modified shelby front valance. Chin spoiler added to Shelby valance. Custom fender extensions to fit the headlights. Custom woven mesh steel grill with pirate logo. The front of this car looks so mean coming at you, its truly intimidating and unique. C7Z decals on the fenders and deck lid. C7Z is Ford code for 67 Mustang. Rear shelby decklid. Blacked out taillight panel with chrome delete and 2 lenses added. Painted rear bumper. THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT- 1971 351C SCJ 11:1 Compression .030 over motor with cobra jet closed chamber heads built to Boss specs. Ford racing aluminum flywheel. TRW forged pistons, chrome rings, stock rods and crank. Manley stainless valves, triple valve springs, molly retainers, 3 angle valve job, ported heads, chromemoly pushrods, screw in studs, guide plates, Harland Sharpe roller rockers, solid lift Comp Cams 518/292 (I think, I havent looked at specs in a while) Port plates- intake and exhaust. High volume oil pump. 7 qt Milodon road race pan. MSD mechanical advance billet distributor, MSD 6AL box and MSD coil. Blue thunder aluminum dual plane intake with a Barry Grant Mighty Demon 650 carb with mech secondaries. NOS 125-250 hp plate system thats hooked up to the Jacobs controller and WOT throttle switch. Ive NEVER used the NOS in this car because quite honestly the car is fast enough without it and it kinda scares me. Dual cold air intake housing with ducting to the front grill. Aluminum radiator, electric fan, aluminum overflow tank. Ford racing under-drive pulleys. THE RUNNING GEAR- 1991 Borg Warner World Class T5 5 speed rebuilt with Ford Racing gearset. Pro 5.0 power tower billet shifter with a billet Z shift handle. This thing shifts solid and like butter. Hooked up to a Stock bellhousing with a Ford racing aluminum flywheel, heavy duty ceramic pad clutch and ford racing pressure plate. Modified stock, balanced driveline with heavy duty U-Joints. Lincoln versailles large bearing disc brake rearend with a 3;91 posi. Ford Granada front disc brake spindles. In line brake proportioning valve mounted next to drivers seat. Stock style front suspension with Polyurethane bushings. 1-1/2" upper control arm drop (shelby mod) with a negative wedge camber corrector kit. 620 lb front springs. 1" front sway bar and KYB heavy duty gas shocks all around. Mustangs Plus 5 leaf mid eye rear leaf springs with racing shackles. Wheels are Vintage wheel works 5 spoke 17 X 8" up front and 17 X 9-1/2" out back. Kuhmo Escta MX 245 40 ZR 17 in front and 295 40 ZR 17 in back. Mustangs Plus subframe connectors. This car corners like its on rails. Or like my buddy said after I took him for a little thrill ride "CORNERS LIKE A CAT ON CARPET!" THE EXHAUST- Hooker super comp long tube 1-7/8" primary tube to 3" collector headers that go into a 3" to 2-1/2" Dr Gas Siamesed crossover X pipe. The remainder of the system is 2-1/2" mandrel bent pipe that go into a pair of flowmaster side exit mufflers then come out the side skirts. Looks and sounds badass! One of the best sounding exhausts you've ever heard. Im not kidding and its not quiet. haha The sound totally fits the look of the car. THE INTERIOR- New carpet, headliner, dash pad, dash panels and door panels. Passenger dash panel has MARIO ANDRETTIS SIGNATURE! (Photos to verify). Doors, rear panels and dash all painted with exterior color base and clear. Seats are mid 80's Porsche Ricarro leather race seats, with Peak 5 point harnesses. "oh shit" handle mounted between seats. Stock rear seat with NOS tank mounted in back. Jacobs mastermind nitrous controller mounted where stereo slot is. LED wide range O2 meter mounted below that. Autometer ultralight gauges including NOS and fuel pressure mounted in the back of the cowel hood. Shelby style 4 point roll bar with chrome fire extinguisher. SS GTech pro meter for track lap and 1/4 mile times. A bank of 5 rocker toggles in the center dash panel section that power various things like 1-main power, 2- accessory (not used), 3- fuel pump over ride, 4- electric fan over-ride, 5- O2 meter. Wink rear view race mirror. All original glass except the windshield. Alpine alarm system with force field that warns with a beep if someone gets too close to the car. If you reach into the car with the windows down the alarm will sound even if you dont touch anything. THE COOL STUFF- Other than being one of the coolest looking and sounding cars on the road, it has some cool little features that blows peoples minds. The doors are equipped with electronic door release solenoids that are activated through the Alpine alarm system. You simply hit a button on the key fob that pops open one door or the other. A separate button for each door. Its pretty cool when your walking up to your car and someones watching (and someone always is) and the doors automatically open for you before you get to the car! Another feature is the NOS arming system. The main arming switch is inside the ashtray and when you switch it on the brake warning light indicator lights up and reads "HANG ON"! No, Ive never used it. Yes that is Mario Andretti's signature on the dash. pretty cool. The OH SH!T handle does come in handy for the passenger! 5 point harnesses glue you into the seats. Hope I remembered everything and with all that said, I built this car with the goal of building a street/track car that could do either comfortably. I built it to drive it not really to show it but it just shows so well, as the awards and accolades prove. Its a favorite of almost everyone who sees it from toddlers to Grandmas and constantly turns heads. There are people constantly people taking pictures and video of it everywhere and anywhere. I really hate to see it go but I really need the money more than the car right now unfortunately. My circumstances are someone else's gain. Please message or text me with any questions or if you require specific pictures and I will try to oblige. Thanks 509-961-2690. DISCLOSURES- Keep in mind that this is a 10 year old restoration and the car has been driven and not babied but also not abused. Its NOT a new car. There are a few rock chips and a door ding. The engine leaks a little bit of oil from the seals as does the rearend. The car does not have power brakes or steering. It has the stock brake master cylinder and could use a high volume master cylinder to provide a firmer pedal. The radiator has a tiny pin hole so it occasionally requires water. The fuel guage quit working last year but all the components are new so its probably just a wire or connection. I havent adjusted the valves this year so it could use a valve adjustment which is easy and only takes about a hour. I took passenger side mirror is off the door due to the screw working through the base of the mirror, so that should be replaced but I will include it because it could be repaired. There are scratches on the back glass. The rear tires rub on the wheel wells if you have too much weight in the car. The front seats are 1980's original leather and show some wear. The rear seat does not have the fold down panel which would interfere with the NOS tank anyway. The trunk divider panel has speaker holes cut in it and is covered with black vinyl. Most of the afore mentioned issues are minor and the car just needs a little TLC that I unfortunately dont have the time or money for anymore. Just want to honestly disclose these issues. Still a great car that is driven and immensely enjoyed on a regular basis. Just want to disclose the issues. THE BIKE- Its a 1980 Suzuki GS 750 with just over 10k original miles. Just like the car it is a one of a kind custom. I stripped it down to the frame, engine and tranny and modified it to what you see in the pics. Chopped rear frame. Foot pegs and controls were relocated slightly rearward. Custom fiberglass seat pan & side panels. Custom stitched seat cushion. Triumph style headlight, Drag bars. Earlier model guages. Carbs were rebuilt and larger jet kit installed. Intake pods, Header, New tires, Powdercoated wheels, New battery. Dual front disc brakes, rear disc brake. No issues or leaks. Its a great looking and running bike that I built to match and go with the car, so it GOES WITH THE CAR! Its also loud and fast. 2 year old build that was built to enjoy on the road. Shows very little wear and tear but is a 35 year old bike. I really havent even had the chance to ride it and I bet Ive only put 100 miles on it in 2 years but they were FUN miles. I WILL INCLUDE~ Any and all extra car parts, boxes, manuals, odds and ends, instructions, a copy of the magazine, The Plaque of the Magazine cover, the Mustang and Fords editors trophy and anything else I can think of. On Sep-08-14 at 12:53:48 PDT, seller added the following information: NO RESERVE! HIGH BIDDER WINS! I now have a video of the car running and can text it to you from my iphone. 509-961-2690 On Sep-10-14 at 18:17:23 PDT, seller added the following information: OK, As Im going through stuff for the car today Ive realized there are a couple minor things I need to mention. There is no horn in the car but the wiring is there and I have the horn and kit. The electric fuel pump needs rebuilt and I have the rebuild kit. It still works it just looses pressure if it gets hot. There is no emergency/parking brake lever or cables on the car but I have those too. I think thats it. Thanks.
