You are bidding on a One owner 1988 Honda Accord LX with only 89K original miles!!! This vehicle has been meticulously maintained and cared for by one owner since new. It has never slept outside as you can see by the like new condition of the original velour interior. Seems to have paid off because in spite of the cost cutting that was obvious in the next generation Accord from 1990, Honda Accord has retained one of the most loyal customer base in history. Engine: Engine starts effortlessy with just a nudge on the accelerator. Idles @ 950 rpm for a few minutes then settles into a silky smooth 650 rpm idle. No knocking. No pinging. No missfire whatsoever. Temp. gauge never moves past mid point. Seems to be some seepage from valve cover gasket. Transmission: Transmission engages with the normal Honda buzz that was common in it's day. Once moving, it becomes a smooth turbinelike pull up through the gears. 4 speed automatic shifts up and down with no clunk, no slipping, no drama whatsoever! Brakes: Brakes are in good shape. 45% Front 70% rear. Vehicle stops in a straight line with no pedal shake. No squeaking or grinding. Paint: Paint is all original. No accidents or repairs anywhere on vehicle. Couple of scratches on the bumper (see photos). Nice shine still. Interior: As previously mentioned, interior is immaculate!! P windows, P locks, P mirrors, P antenna, Cruise control, Air conditioner, original Am/Fm cassette are all in working order. **This is a 26 year old car.
