Attention collectors! When was the last time you saw a totally original Chevy Chevette? This 1981 Chevrolet Chevette has only 15647 miles on the odometer, and while as a donation we can't verify the authenticity of these miles, the overall condition of this car leads us to believe it might actually be true. Runs and drives well, but does not pass the California smog test, so it's available only to out of state bidders. The paint is original and shows some signs of fading on the hood and one quarter panel, but should shine up nicely. The chrome bumpers have very minor pits, but will also look great with minimal effort. Tires also appear original and should be replaced soon. Inside, the upholstery looks new, and the carpets have very minimal wear. The headliner is nice, and the dash is completely free of cracks! All controls seem to work with the exception of the windshield washer. There is also a period musical horn keypad on the dash that still works well. Mechanically it runs and drives nicely, but did not pass it's smog test. The testing station recommended a new catalytic converter and O2 sensor but that may just be the tip of the iceberg. Clutch and brakes seem fine, and there is a grease pencil notation on the firewall that a kevlar clutch was installed in 1995 at 9318 miles!(see photo) An amazingly original car that you just don't see any more.
