This truck was purchased in 1993 by my father here in Virginia, from a guy who had taken over his father's salvage yard. This truck was bought new by his father and was still in a garage. We took it home and began working on it. In 1999 my father retired from his job after killing two men who tried to carjack him at a service station. The truck was traded to family, who placed the body on a 1984 4x4 Scottsdale frame. Everything matches up, and any additional tabs on the frame needed were cut off the original 2 wheel drive frame and properly stick welded to the 4x4 frame. EVERYTHING matches up and as you can see it looks great. It was never finished, until I ask for it back last year. I have now finished the restoration on a 20 year family project. My family has been building hotrods since the 70's. This particular one has a lot of meaning given my father's unexpected passing in 2012. However, I have one that was given to me as my high school graduation I need to finish restoring again (after a lady hit it), so this one needs a new home. Here are the details: Motor: Purchased new (not rebuilt) at Speed Unlimited in Morningside, MD Accessories: 2 wire 110amp alternator, 134a A/C compressor, 28gph Holley performance fuel pump, Edelbrock 650cfm Carburetor w/ automatic choke, Edelbrock intake Trans: Fully rebuilt TH350 with larger valve body and finned trans pan for cooling (plus external cooler)Transfer Case: Works without issues, fluid drained, checked for leaks, seals replacedTruck Body: 100% solid, no rust. Truck was always kept in doors since new. No body filler, no cut off and replaced parts.Truck Frame: Solid, not beaten, no rust, fully cleaned,wire brushed,and paintedFront and Rear Differentials: All seals replaced, bearing repacked, new brake hardware and brakesFuel Tanks: yes there are two: Factory replacement tank behind the seat, plus a 16 gallon tank in rear between frame (need hooked together in series)Interior: Completely redone, new factory rubber mat, new wiring harness, rebuilt instrument cluster, inside fully sanded and painted to match exterior, Alpine stereo, door seals Headlights: 7" round like OEM but upgraded to H4 replacement composite lights instead of sealed beam.Grille: New aftermarket but I do have the original white grilleBumpers: Original survivors in excellent shapeMirrors: OEM style replacementsBed: Original wood in floor, but bed strips and bolts have been replaced with stainless steel ones.Wheels: 15x10.5 Mickey ThompsonTires: 32x11.50X15 BF Goodrich All Terrain This truck drives straight and true without issue.
