This is a car that NEVER fails to turn heads everywhere it goes and it shows, runs, and drives VERY WELL indeed. 1969 was the FIRST and BEST year of the 4th generation Galaxie's and they tell me it's the year to have. We just purchased this BEAUTY from the 70+ year old owner / collector who lives right here in Boise, Idaho and who has owned it for several years and as you can tell in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy for sure but he just doesn't drive it much anymore and his wife wants her spot in the garage back, LUCKY YOU !! He bought the car from a friend of his who is also 70+ years old who had owned the car for 26+ years. It still retains it's FACTORY ORIGINAL - correctly mounted Ford driver's door jam mounted data plate - FACTORY ORIGINAL - front cowl mounted data plate - FACTORY ORIGINAL - correctly mounted Ford dash mounted VIN tag - FACTORY ORIGINAL - trunk lid jack usage sticker - FACTORY ORIGINAL - assembly line build sheet (NEAT !!) - FACTORY ORIGINAL - 1969 Ford owner's manual - FACTORY ORIGINAL 1969 Ford warranty facts booklet and the - FACTORY ORIGINAL - Ford "Safer Ride" booklet, all of which are shown in several pictures below. I drove this car as my daily driver for nearly two weeks and I assure you it runs and drives GREAT, TOO FUN !! This car is a sweet driver and cruises down the freeway at 75+ mph as smooth as can be. It handles tight, stops great with power brakes and with power steering it is a two finger driver. Nothing needed on this one to drive away, IT'S READY TO ENJOY !! Sounds good too with the factory style exhaust system. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - Code "U" - C6 three speed automatic transmission that also functions very well and was professionally rebuilt approx 2,000 miles ago. The MOSTLY FACTORY ORIGINAL !! - Code "6" -Black vinyl and faux wood grain accented interior is BEAUTIFUL and is in GREAT shape including a VERY NICE Black vinyl front seat with factory headrests, VERY NICE Black vinyl rear seat, VERY NICE ORIGINAL matching Black vinyl door panels with correct faux wood grain inserts, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black and faux wood grain accented dash, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black vinyl dash pad with one small crack, VERY NICE ORIGINAL gauge clusters, good ORIGINAL Galaxie steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black vinyl sunvisors and NICE Black carpeting. All of the black rubber weatherstripping is soft, supple and in GREAT condition. This is one sharp car indeed ! This Galaxie 500 is quite a deal and you will be surprised at the low reserve. This Galaxie 500 drop top has outstanding looks and OUTSTANDING V8 power as well ! It is nicely equipped including factory power steering, power brakes, factory power wipers, working original Philco AM radio, dual chrome remote side view exterior mirrors, original day / night rear view mirror, factory front and rear seat belts, good glass, factory gauge package including a 120 mph speedometer, good heater and defroster, original day / night rear view mirror, cloth power convertible top with a glass rear window and factory back up lights. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - Code "U" - C6 three speed automatic transmission that also functions very well and was professionally rebuilt approx 2,000 miles ago. The MOSTLY FACTORY ORIGINAL !! - Code "6" -Black vinyl and faux wood grain accented interior is BEAUTIFUL and is in GREAT shape including a VERY NICE Black vinyl front seat with factory headrests, VERY NICE Black vinyl rear seat, VERY NICE ORIGINAL matching Black vinyl door panels with correct faux wood grain inserts, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black and faux wood grain accented dash, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black vinyl dash pad with one small crack, VERY NICE ORIGINAL gauge clusters, good ORIGINAL Galaxie steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black vinyl sunvisors and NICE Black carpeting.
