Up for auction is this sweet 1960 Chevy Impala, a head turner and show winner. Its paint is the original old school paint not the water base style, with a fresh set of airbrushed beauties with 3 coats of clear laid over them to make sure they shine. The car was purchase from a gent who had her for 15 years and was dedicated to the cause of making a sweet ride. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with cancer and had to sell The BOMB. I purchased her with all original documentation and pictures of the rebuild. In his honor, I have put metal flake flames with a air brushed pic of Marilyn Monroe and of course a BOMBER girl from the World War era. This Car is a blast to drive and gets the thumbs up from all the car nuts who see her. The countless times I get pulled from cruising to get asked to have shots taken of her are sick. So sad to say I purchased her in hopes of enticing my wife to let me keep her and sell my Lead Sled 1955 Buick. But to no avail, my wife loves the Buick and refers to this car as the floosy in the garage. This ride has the original 283 motor totally rebuilt, accompanied by a set of Cherry bomb mufflers to make it sound just right. It has the original tranny, re-end and driveshaft all rebuilt. The paint is flawless, except for one small chip on the inside of the Fender extension. The interior front seats are totally re-upholstered and the back was in perfect shape, the only flaw in the upholstery is one tear on the door panel the size of a quarter that has been repaired. All bumpers have been re-chromed and are flawless. I have all new window cranks and Sun visors and Fender guards that will go with the car. It also has a brand new convertible cloth top with glass rear window. Everyone wants to go topless, but even with the top up this baby is sexy. The only thing that this car has left is to chrome a few minor pieces like sun visor holders and convertible top clamps, other than that this Impala Rocks. Car runs and drives great.
