Vehicle Detail
First and foremost, this car is being sold at a true NO RESERVE to the highest bidder. I have owned this car since the day I was born. No joke. I am 43 now and the car sits most of the time. I rebuilt the car in the early 90's taking the body off, blasted and painted the frame, stripped numerous old paint jobs off and painted it black and put it all back together as you see it now. I spent a lot of time back then making sure when it was done, that everything worked. Well I got close. The only thing not working are the windshield wipers. The wiper motor runs but the cables were never hooked back up. I replaced the original 283 with a nice running 327 just because I wanted to save the old 283 for later. The winning bidder is welcome to take the original engine, but must arrange shipping. All the brake lines were replaced, wheel cylinders rebuilt, new shoes, etc. I just recently went back through the front brakes because the right front was sticking. The tires were replaced this last May with Nitto NT555 255/40ZR17's. At that time I had the front end alignment checked as well. All was good. It has a new Summit carb and polished intake, new plugs and wires, new thermostat and a new radiator. All just went bad from sitting. It has a few minor oil leaks as well, but nothing really to be overly concerned about. The body is pretty nice, and pretty straight for an old Vette. I know the right fender was replaced some time before the car came in to my family, but there is no and was no damage to the frame. One thing that I did that I probably wouldn't now was install a 12 inch subwoofer in the trunk with an amp. It can all be undone fairly easily if you wanted. Nothing was cut or removed. I also put the battery in the truck as its location up front was just a pain in my opinion. But again, anything can be changed. I'm not trying to make the car sound bad, but I really want you to know what I know about it so that you can make an informed decision as to whether this is the right car for you or not. If you are looking for a beautiful old hot rod to enjoy that gets tons of attention, this is the car for you. If you are a Corvette fanatic that wants an all original car, you may want to shop elsewhere. Please if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I encourage anyone to have the car inspected or if you are close, come on by. Please do not bid if you do not plan on purchasing the car. The winning bidder must deposit $500 via pay pal within 24 hours of the end of the auction with the balance due by bank wire or certified funds within 72 hours. The car doesn't leave until funds have posted. The winning bidder is also responsible for shipping. Again, please ask questions if you have any. I want this car to go to someone who will love it and appreciate it as I have. Good luck! On Aug-19-14 at 08:33:17 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE:I have had several questions as to whether the car is in Oregon or Arizona due to the Arizona plates. The car is in Oregon and is originally an Oregon car. I moved to Arizona in 2000 and moved back to Oregon this past May. I just haven't re-registered it here yet. Hope this helps.
