This 1996 model is the first year for the RAV4 in the U.S.! Rare 2-door and manual transmission! Ideal for a RAV enthusiast! Really fun to drive. We will really miss this car. LOW mileage (less than 68,000 original miles) Great for driving in snow -- snow tires mounted on all wheels -- we drove this car through the 2010 Snowmaggedon in the Washington DC area >20 inches of snow with no problem while our neighbors were trapped in their homes! FUN dual sunroofs pop up and can be removed completely and mounted on inside of rear tailgate door for driving at the beach or other vacation destinations! Alloy wheels (original) Original paint -- slight fading, clearcoat peeling in a few areas (roof, hood). No visible rust that we can see. Body in great condition -- no major dents, some typical scratches and scrapes just from normal wear and tear Cloth seats in good shape, no rips and tears Carpet in good shape Radio, A/C, heat works fine. Can provide all maintenance records since we purchased this car in 2003. Used as a second car just for snow driving since our primary car only has rear wheel drive. Selling now because we bought an AWD sedan. Currently cannot open the hood -- we think the hood release cable is broken as of July 2014. This is the only known problem with the car. Vehicle history -- Carfax check in 2003 reported no severe accidents or other total loss events, no odometer problems, no manufacturer buy-back (lemon). NO accidents since we've owned it. Major service history while we've owned it -- timing belt replaced in 2003 at 56425 miles, snow tires have 11100 miles on them, pre-catalytic exhaust pipe replaced in 2006, A/C recharged in 2008, front struts rebuilt in 2008, rear portion of exhaust system incl catalytic converter and front disc brakes replaced in 2012.
