It has only been driven 59,000 miles since new, which is less than 1,500 miles per year!! This one is quite Elegant, especially with it's Beautiful Mason's Black Coachwork.....very unique, and absolutely Magnificent. The Silver Shadow LWB is an elegant and completely individual motorcar. A rolling work of art, made entirely by the hands of skilled craftsmen in Crewe(I watched in September of 2001). 1973 was the last model year that US delivered motorcars had the small Chrome Bumpers(These were fitted to the rest of the world until 1976). Rolls Royce is the choice of Royalty. It is the epitome of the automotive world. Nothing makes a statement like a Rolls in the driveway(or at the local country club). The exterior is gorgeous Mason's Black with a Black Everflex roof. It is in excellent condition considering this is an almost 40 year-old car. We did notice that it was color changed at sometime early in it's life, and was born metallic Red. The paint is rich and shiny, with no signs of damage. Barring some slight cracking in the paint in a few places, normal for any older Rolls Royce, and a few nicks here and there, this motorcar makes a very grand appearance. Unlike most older Rolls Royce’s, this Silver Shadow LWB has no visible signs of any rust or weather damage. The overall exterior is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. The chrome and bright work are in excellent condition as well. The interior is a gorgeous blend of hand finished wood made up of rich veneers and Black Connolly leather, piped same. It is just Beautiful. The hides are still as soft as they were many years ago and the smell is intoxicating. The Top Roll, Under-Dash Trim, and Radio Surround are covered in Black Hide as well. The wood(did you know that the patterns in all of the door caps are identical!!!!) is absolutely stunning and gives this Rolls a very sharp and elegant appearance. It is quite lovely, and there are many detailed photos below. The Jullian Fawn cloth Headlining is excellent, as well. The original carpeting is Red with Black binding, to match the seats. It is also in excellent condition. Even the foot rests are in their proper pockets, fitted to the rear of the front seats!!. As one would expect, The "Best Car in the World" is equipped with Climate Control that keeps the Lavishly appointed interior cool in the summer, and toasty warm, when necessary. The power windows are whisper quiet, and all operate properly. The rear ones are typically sluggish when rising. Both front seats are electrically adjustable. The later fitted AM-FM Stereo sounds wonderful, and now you can play your favorite cassettes in the tape deck. The Cruise Control is present, however is inoperative.....we have no estimate for repair. I have been test-driving this wonderful Silver Shadow for about a week and it runs and drives like a Rolls Royce should. It is extremely smooth and quiet, and is a sheer delight!!! We have a stack of receipts/repair orders totaling OVER $26,000.00!!! Theses mechanical repairs include suspension and hydraulic systems, along with the fuel systems. The exhaust is stainless, and has been replaced. The top end of the V8 engine has been recently rebuilt with a fresh valve job done to both cylinder heads, along with new gaskets throughout. It runs and drives great BUT USES OIL!!! We have NO ESTIMATE for repair! The four matching Michelins are about 90%. The large and small tools are present, as are the complete set of Handbooks in their own special pouch. It has been fully detailed and is absolutely Gorgeous. This is a Fabulous Example and will certainly be cherished by the lucky New owner. This wonderful Silver Shadow LWB is just Gorgeous, and is ready to be driven and enjoyed for many years to come.
