Vehicle Detail
Reluctantly listing "RC" my Ramcharger with Myers snow plow for sale. I have driven this truck regularly for 8 year and about 70000 miles. I am selling it because I need to get rid of some of my projects. If you have one you need parts for, you could use it for that. I will try to describe as well as possible the existing repairs needed and I have included a number of pictures and a link to a brief video. The truck starts, runs and drives, but I would recommend hauling it. at minimum it needs a fuel filter and should have a new fuel pump as I have had to pound on the bottom of the tank on occasion to get it started. Last year, something happened and now the power windows, A/C and heater fan do not turn on. I have not taken the time to trouble shoot and repair it. I used it for plowing snow this winter and sometimes drive it the 1/8th mile I have to go to work and just haven't felt like dealing with the problem. I hot wired the heater when plowing and am not in it long enough to worry about the A/c, but it did work before the failure. I think it is probably a relay as all the fuses seem fine. The windshield has a crack, if you put the mirror back in it would hide it, and it does not seem to be changing. as you can see in the pictures, the body is not pretty. There are a pair of new rocker panels in the box in the back that I was going to put on to get it inspected, but just never got to it. The yoke for the rear drive shaft should be replaced, it i cracked out around one of the bolts. Transmission, transfer case, rear ends and 4 wheel drive all work. Front axles should have the U-joints replaced. I put 2 new General tires on the rear a year and a half ago, only few miles on them, the front tires are getting down to the point they should be replaced soon unless you would want to use it just for plowing. There is a class II hitch and brake controller on it, the plug wiring will need to be redone. 5 or 6 years ago, I replaced the original rusted rear spring mounts with my own crude but functional custom made mounts, re-arched the leaf springs and added a leaf on each side so that it would handle a trailer better. When this engine is running right, it is the best running 318 i have ever driven and I have driven a bunch of them. Right now, as i said before, it needs a fuel filter and fuel pump to make it run right. The exhaust system needs work. I had punched the cat out a number of years ago and made a home made resonator with 3" pipe out the back, but it has come loose right at the manifold on both sides. The manifolds are fine, but the pipes are hanging. I also replaced the Radiator about 2 years ago but I think it may need a new thermostat, if towing with it the temperature went up more than I liked to see. Never overheated and cooked over or anything, but I never pushed it when I saw the temperature rising. there is a leak in the power steering. It leaks most when you leave it sit. Brakes work ok, I had replaced front rotors and pads a couple of years ago, should be some life left. I have not looked at the rear lining lately, but i believe it will be good for awhile. Not a lot to say about the snow plow, it works well and has the handy push button controller. The power angle works well, but the cyolinders are pitted some so there is a little bit of leakage, not a lot, i normally filled it once a year, but if you would be a lot of plowing you may have to fill more often. Look at the pictures, ask questions, bid to own There is no reserve, if you bid I anticipate you will pay me for it and take it away when the auction is over. If you have no feedback, contact me berfore bidding. I need to know that you understand how to communicate within eBay and understand the process. $100.00 none refundable deposit due within 24 hours of end of auction and balance within 3 days unless you talk to me and arrange something different ahead of time. The truck is for sale local and I reserve the right to sell it and cancel the auction at anytime. On Aug-16-14 at 04:49:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Morning bidders/watchers. 3 additional notes. Number one ,I forgot to mention that the gas gauge does not work. I always reset the counter and filled according to the miles driven. number 2, if you fill the tank full, the tank hose on top of the tank leaks about a half gallon out. I tried not to fill it that full or drove for 15 mile or so immediately after filling. Number three I do have local offers and will end the auction early for them if there isn't a realistic bid on the truck by 3 or 4 hours before auction end. I have never ended a auction early, but I really don't even want to sell this but need the room. Thank you all for your questions and interest!! Happy Bidding
