Vehicle Detail
This car is in unbelievable condition, I have never seen one in such original condition. And it runs like a top, just glides along, just floats, little shake at about 75mph on the freeway but nothing major, in fact it has been my daily driver. Our transmission went out on our Yukon, 5 cars at home, 3 are projects, and two drivers. So I was going to rent a car but I found this in my town, I figured I would buy it, drive it and talk my wife into having another car at home, last part did not work out so here it is. It’s strange that it does not have major rust because it has spent its entire life in Utah, a friend of mine owns a body shop, he looked it over and said it must have been used as a summer car because it was clear that it had no major rust and had not been restored. This is so original it has the original gas cap, power steering pump, am/fm 8 track player that still works, the original dealer floor mats, and I have the original dealer invoice. The only problem it does have is that it was stored in a fence yard and they had a dog that chewed on some of the trim, see the photos. My friend at the body shop gave me some glue for the trim on the rear bumper although I would replace it if I were going to keep it. It may be difficult to see in the photo so here is what is on the dealer invoice:SEAT BELTS, DELUXE FRONT AND REARWIDOWS, SOFT-RAY TINTEDFLOOR MATS, AUXILIARY FRONT AND REARMOLDINGS, PROTECTIVE SIDE, BRIGHT DOOR-EDGE GUARDLANDAU ROOT, TOP COVERING VINYLAIR CONDITIONER, FOUR SEASONMIRRORS, SPORTS STYLED OS REARVIEWAXEL, 2.41 RATIOCRUISE CONTROL, AUTOMATICENGINE, 350, V-8, 4-BBLTRANSMISSION, TURBO HYDRA –MATICEMISSION SYSTEM – HIGH ALTITUDESTEERING WHEEL, TILT-AWAYWHEELS, SUPER STOCK IIIRADIO, AM-FM STEREO WITH TAPE PLAYERCLOCK, ELECTRICACCENT STRIPECONVENIENCE GROUP INCLUDES VISOR VANITY MIRROR, LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LAMP, UNDER HOOD LAMP, GOVE BOX LAMP, COURTESY LAMPS, AND AMD MAP LAMP. So what is wrong? Small surface rust spots, some dash cracks and steering wheel cracks, chip in the windshield glass, has a small power steering leak, the clock is not working (it’s missing a circuit breaker in the fuse panel, I don’t have one and that could be it) needs a tune up, and some minor trim. Although it is in amazing condition, it is still a 37 year old car, it may need some things that I have missed or it may need things in the future so it is sold in “as-is” condition with no warranty implied or expressed. Its funny the looks you get from this, people just dig it, I really did want to keep it but the wife said it was this or my 72 Chevelle. But if I could have I would keep it. Check out the video on the link, my 9 year old ran the camera and the battery went dead in the middle of the drive. Although it could be that this car is worth $100K because it is haunted and it drained the battery in my camcorder, but it is probably because I forgot to charge the battery :D anyway good luck, happy bidding and feel free to send questions. I have licensed this in my name so you will have no problems with the title. I reserve the right to cancel this listing if I can talk my wife into keeping it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNdr1V7JfWg&feature=youtu.beIf you have 0 feedback or less contact me before you bid. Anyway here is a longer video of the car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IM64nYz9sQw&feature=youtu.be
