uncle427 Store 1973 Corvette 454 Convertible-Loaded!! Excellent-RARE!! 1973 Corvette Convertible 454, 945 code Blue -Green exterior, Code 416 Med saddle leather interior. This is a never hit car, never any damage of any kind. Has had one repaint. The Vin # indicates the car was built on July 19th, 1973. This could be the very last 454 car built! Original motor, TO706CWR code, #3999289 block, dtd D-24-73, yes the absolutely original stamping, even has the original correct carburetor just rebuilt/restored, original, rare 454 only air cleaner assembly with a real NOS rubber sealing ring just installed, just tuned, new plugs, distributor cap, wires, points, etc. Runs fantastic! Correct heads, #s 353049 I do not think the heads have ever been off the block! Its been highly detailed as has been the entire engine compartment. New correct radiator hoses and heater hoses, correct rare original fan and fan clutch, correct original valve covers with new correct gaskets, new correct quanta fan belts, correct original rebuilt water pump. New aluminized dual 2 1/2" exhaust as original, from corvette central, fits perfectly. Sounds great! New correct fuel pump and pump to carb steel line. It runs excellent, smooth and powerful, GOBS of power and torque! Idles smooth but throaty as it should and puls real hard when asked. Original 400 turbo transmission, original BB 3:08 posi rear differential, original sway bars, excellent frame, never any rust or repairs, never hit body, all original panels, new front bumper of the newer flexible fiberglass, new rear bumpers, new windshield, P/S, P/B, P/W, Tilt/Telescoping steering column, nice steering wheel, new horn button, original shoulder harness, original seat belts, all the belt retractors work well, original 1/4 trim panels, deluxe leather interior, new carpet, leather interior, original radio (not working currently) Speedo and Tach work well Steering column is nice and tight. Center gauge cluster and bezel very good, all gauges working, Has restored originalJack & handle and storage box, all storage doors and frames are excellent, original door panels, dash pads and upper dash, all gauges work fine, all lighting works fine, headlamps pop right up and warning lamps for headlamps have new switches. Wipers work well, there are new arms/blades installed but the originals are included with car. All door jam switches good and operate. The door hinges on both doors were just rebushed, doors are very tight and close perfectly with ease! It has a hardtop also, included with car, same color as car painted at same time so it matches well as shown in pics, has the same saddle interior, the panels are originals, sides are good, the top panel has had some crack repairs and redyed. It does not stay in place well so could use a little attention. No effort was made with it as it was not being used anyway. The softop is a replacement and is in very nice condition as shown and fits very well. New o-ring style brake calipers from Vette Brakes, new hoses and master cylinder, all fresh Dot 3 fluid, 2 new rotors in front and all front control arms rebuilt with new bushings and ball joints, springs, shocks. New master cylinder and booster. Power steering pump, slave cylinder, control valve and hoses replaced. This is a very tight, solid, original car, its lines are gorgeous! The doors and hood and deck lid fit excellent. One of the best fitting hoods I have seen on 73-up cars! The cowl induction works good. The power window motors and regulators were just serviced and both windows operate up and down flawlessly. The frame is excellent, never any rust or repairs, (light surface rust where paint has aged of of course), rebuilt, balanced driveshaft, rebuilt 1/2 shafts, rebuilt trailing arms, new shocks, new correct rear spring, correct original rebuilt BB 3:08 rear differential. All new alchohol resistant rubber lines in fuel line front and rear. Has just had a full professional (not by some chain, but by a shop that does corvettes all the time) 4 wheel alignment. Has just had air conditioning serviced, everything works as it should and it blows nice and cold! ven still has its rare a/c idle solenoid and it works! New BF Goodrich Raised white letter 225-70 15" tires all around. Correct rims and nice original trim rings and caps, the spare is same with an original tire, although its used. It is correct. This car can be driven anywhere, any time, runs nice and cool under all conditions, rides smooth, its just a pleasure to drive, really purrs on the highway!
