Vehicle Detail
You are viewing my 1996 Chevy Silverado xcab fully customized show truck! This truck started out as a somewhat difficult to find Silverado xcab step side bed pickup but has had major customization done to it since. The gentleman who had this truck built said he spent $23,000 on the custom work in 2010 and that was after he purchased the truck with VERY low miles! I will mention what I can, but pictures tell a lot on this one. As for factory equipment, it has power windows and locks, tilt, cruise, cold air, and bucket seats in front. But for that custom look and what makes it an eye catcher, head turner and trophy winner, it has suicide doors with poppers, custom 3 color paint (stripe is painted on also), shaved handles, hard bed cover with hydraulic shocks, Air Technologies air ride system with dual chrome plated pumps (see pics), fully functional cowl hood, the drip rails have been shaved, the cowl behind the hood and in front of the windshield is custom, former plastic interior parts are now fiberglass (such as dash, door panels, trim panels, etc) (see pics), Billett Specialties steering wheel (air bag removed, as a result airbag light is on), custom LED taillights (see pic), 20" tires and wheels with paint to match brake dust guards, full custom tweed interior with velour inserts, custom head liner in velour (see pic), dash cluster is flamed out, full hand made console with custom striping (also encases air ride controls, see pic), custom bed interior, and dark tinted windows. As for the air ride system, it is fully functional, but for some reason he left the switch to turn on the pumps inside the bed, it would be better if it were inside the truck in my opinion and I am reasonably sure it would be an easy transition. The powertrain is completely stock and has a great low rumble sound through the turbo mufflers with the motor smooth and the transmission shifting perfectly. To my knowledge, there are no catalytic converters on the truck, at least that I can see (never been on a rack), but if you purchase the truck and want some on it, I have a friend who owns an exhaust shop locally and he will install a new one for you for $135 labor and converter. The power accessories are functioning except the power door locks which were disabled due to the poppers being installed and the door lock cylinders being shaved. The tires have about 75-80% tread on them (see pics) and the wheels do not have any curb rash. This was mainly built to pull the mans street rod on a trailer, so it was not a daily driver although it could easily be as it drives fantastic! He drove it in the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2010 after it was built and it was also in the magazine that year (not as a feature, but in the magazine pages, you can look it up on line). The truck is not perfect, I don't mean to mislead anyone, but it is above average in my opinion and I have owned a lot of custom and classic cars over the years. There is a small crack in the top corner of the bed (see pic) and some small scratches from use, but they are minor and do not stand out badly. Truck is very clean and ready for the new owner to drive home if they would like as I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere! I have the clear title in hand for the new owner and as long as the truck is paid for within 5 days after the auction ends in the form of cash or bank wire transfer only, I can keep it inside for a while if need be. I am a licensed and bonded Missouri dealer and have been for 29 years now, but this has been my personal truck to drive, show, and enjoy, so I am familiar with the aspects of it, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will reply quickly as I check my email several times daily! I also have MANY more pics of the truck if you would like to email me and request some, I would be more than happy to send them to you. Thank you for considering my 96 Chevy Silverado custom show truck! I have it if you would like to request it, along with many other pics of the truck! Thank you once again for all of the interest, bids, and questions!
