Vehicle Detail
1991 BMW 325 Convertible. The good: ABSOLUTELY NO RUST, this California car has been garaged pretty much its whole life. FUN car to drive. Regular maintenance, timing belt last done at about 88K miles. Currently has just under 120K miles. Non-smoking household. Newer top. Good tires. We drive this car around town regularly. Heated seats, cold A/C. It always starts right up and sounds wonderful. Big pile of receipts and records from when it was new plus the manuals. We have all the smog test records for the last 10 years -- it has never failed to pass. The bad: needs new front ball joints; after clutch is warmed up it has a shudder going into 1st gear (a common problem, likely due to contamination of the clutch plate); small dent on front right quarter panel & spoiler (see pictures); muffler mount broken so exhaust is a little loose; normal wear and tear on interior and exterior, including small dings here and there, stains on carpet, a small tear on driver's seat, and leather shrinkage at top of rear seats (see picture). Engine leaks oil. Cruise control stalk broken at base (some small plastic part in the steering column). New brake pads but brake maintenance light is on due to a problem with the sensors (both were replaced along with the pads, but light still on for some reason) The brake tail light out indicator comes on randomly; this is a common problem with these apparently and has done it since new despite replacing the bulbs and making sure they work. The convertible top mechanism is getting difficult to use -- if you're handy it's likely not a difficult fix but we don't have time. The BMW logos on the hood, trunk, and wheels are faded and peeling. I'm the second owner, have had it since 1996. It's a beautiful FUN classic car, and well worth restoring. Any questions, please ask. We love this car, but it needs some TLC and a new home. $200 DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AUCTION END! I have described this car as completely as I can, but it is an old car. Please ask any questions before bidding. On Aug-11-14 at 12:10:20 PDT, seller added the following information: A couple extra notes: the rear two tires are new. The front two have usable tread left but are not new. The car has an after-market anti-theft alarm system. On Aug-13-14 at 11:22:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Battery seems weak so we are replacing it today with a brand new one. I've also added a few more pictures. On Aug-15-14 at 12:09:03 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to be clear: the Ebay fee portion of the initial deposit is non-refundable. Ebay can't tell if we complete the deal or not, so will take their fees no matter what.
