Vehicle Detail
1968 396 325 hp big block Camaro. This car has spent it's life pampered and always in the garage. There are very few of these 396 cars out there and is highly collectible. Options include original numbers matching 325hp 396 with THM400 transPower front disc brakesPower steeringPower windowsFactory ACStock Radio (not currently hooked up, had a CD player in the glove box)Has factory intake and exhaust manifolds- even has the smog pump on it.Stock factory interior and a 9k paint job. This is a very solid collision free and rust free California car. Has original gauges with tic toc tach original radio and a rare option, it has factory radio controls on the center console lid.Seats are in extremely good shape, the door panels, dash pad, carpet etc is showing its age. Interior kits are inexpensive and I was planning on changing it all over to black but need the $$ to finish a home project instead. Has a small oil drip coming from the oil pressure sensor on the back of the block which is not a big deal. Maybe has leaked a 1/4 quart in the last 2 year. When I had this car painted I stripped it to metal. I wanted to know what I was dealing with in regards to rust or bondo issues. There was none of either. It had the original dark blue paint when I bought the car and only had a couple door dings. The body trim I had straightened and polished and is the original as well. The doors and trunk fit, open and close perfectly. Build sheet: I looked on top of the gas tank for it and it wasn't there. Some people said it could be under the back seat but I haven't looked, the seat doesn't just pop out like I thought and I don't want to force or break something. In a nut shell, if you are looking for a 396 super solid Camaro that has no rust and bondo issues, you found it.On Aug-09-14 at 08:07:47 PDT, seller added the following information: Been getting a few questions on the interior so I will try to clear it up. The seats are terrific. The door panels and dash pad need to be replaced to make it pristine. The carpet is in good shape other than needing a cleaning. The original radio works but is currently not wired. The gauges are all factory and all work with the exception of the clock. If I was going to keep the car I would convert the interior to black. With this blue it would be incredible and would make this a $45-50k car with the matching numbers 396. The reserve is under $29k so you can see the deal here. When I had the car appraised for insurance the way it sits by an independent appraiser it came back at $45k.If the car doesn't sell on Ebay I will ship back over to one of the auctions in CA this fall and sell it for much more than here. For you flippers, this would be a good one to spruce up the interior, flip and make 10k. If you are the winner of this auction it is a binding contract to purchase the car. Any and all inspections or due diligence are to be done prior to the close of this auction. In other words, don't bid unless you are going to complete the sale. You are welcome to check the car out at any time prior to the completion of this auction.
