Up for your consideration is a really neat original 1970 F100 short bed sport custom. The truck was purchased new in Alabama and stayed there until Mr. Ridley bought it and brought it to Chatsworth Georgia in late 1985. In 1985 the truck had 93,693 miles showing on the odometer. Mr Ridley owned the vehicle until I purchased it from him recently. So the vehicle is like a 2 owner vehicle ! The trucks sports an original 302 with factory automatic transmission. Steers with ease with power steering option as well. He had the compete 302 overhauled and the front end completely rebuilt at the same time. Both items are fresh and have around 20,000 miles on the rebuild. Complete new brake overhaul, new power steering pump, and more. The truck starts up every time and does not smoke at all. Transmission shifts out perfectly. Drives,stops, steers great with no major leaks. Mechanically this truck is great. The body is incredibly solid considering the age of the truck. I have not seen any rust through on the outside of the truck at all. All outside chrome is present and in good usable shape. It sports its original paint with a awesome layer of "patina". The floor pans look pretty solid, nice cab mounts, perfect core support, perfect inner fenders, perfect battery trey, nice solid hood,doors,fenders etc.. The bed floor is still very solid , but does have some rust mostly behind the tubs where the flat steel is located ( easy fix if wanted to do so ). Interior is all in tact and looks good. Nice seat , door panels, floor mat, etc.. All the glass is original and completely intact and functional. The windshield does have some typical lite fogging in the corners of the glass. Wipers ,flashers,turn signal, headlights, brake lights etc all work properly. The gas gauge,temp gauge, oil pressure work most of the time , then at times they do not. Should be a easy fix since they all work or don't like ground issue ? All in all this is a get in and go kind of truck ,looks great the way it is and ready for cruising. You can not remake all original trucks , they are like this one time !!! This is an amazing find for one of these trucks in its original condition.
