The City of Central City, Nebraska is selling a 2004 Chevy Impala - 3.8 liter V6. This vehicle started service as a police patrol vehicle. After 4 years of service, the vehicle was transferred to our airport, where it served as a Courtesy Car for people flying into the airport. This means it had fairly infrequent use. Today the vehicle drives fine and there are no known mechanical defects. It's a bit dirty, especially in the engine compartment, from frequent use on gravel roads. When the vehicle left service as a police car, we removed 2 antennas from the roof and trunk. There are 2 holes that were patched. There's a small dent over the driver side front tire. There is slight hail damage to part of the front hood and the trunk hood. 2 tires need replaced, the other 2 air fairly new. There are a few scratches around the vehicle, but nothing real major. Inside the vehicle, there are numerous stains to the carpet and the seats. The material of the steering wheel is badly deteriorated. This vehicle is available for inspection at City Hall.
