Vehicle Detail
Zermatt Silver Metallic 1987 Porsche 944. It has the original paint. Overall, the paint looks nice despite the age. The body itself is great shape. It is nice and straight with no dents. The car is light and nimble and handles like a dream. The engine pulls hard and the 5 speed manual transmission shifts well. The car gets good fuel mileage. A true driver's car that is a blast to take through twisty roads. The interior is in great shape and looks good. I installed a new Panasonic AVH-X3500 BHS touchscreen head unit including an iPhone cable, an HDMI cable and telephone mic. The car comes with the original steering wheel and an older MOMO steering wheel, a Porsche 944 specific car cover, the leather sheath for the targa top and a brand new spoiler for the back if you want to swap out the original one. I am unsure of the true mileage on this vehicle. The odometer was broken when I bought it from the previous owner. The previous owner was unsure how many miles he travelled while the odometer was broken. Upon purchasing the car, I immediately fixed the odometer so that it is properly working. The items on this car that I have not fixed are as follows: 1. The power steering rack has a small leak. I never bothered to spend the money on it since I just regularly check the fluid level and add more when necessary. 2. The gears for the targa top work to vent it open but do not work to fully remove the targa top. The seal on the targa top is beginning to wear and will need replacing soon.3. The rear hatch window struts need to be replaced.4. The rear hatch window has pulled slightly out of the gasket running alone the top of the window which is a common problem for 944's due to the stress that the hatch window struts place on the glass. I covered the top of the hatch window with clear helicopter tape to properly seal it.5. The paint is original. It is in good shape given the age but there are several cracked paint spots and imperfections on the body and some peeling right around the headlights. I have had all the work done on the car by LMN Motorsports in Virginia Beach. I have all of the work records since I bought the car. This car has had a ton of work put into it.
