Vehicle Detail
This Porsche 911 is a time capsule to the late 1980s. Fiberglass body cladding and spoilers were considered hip and trendy and old Porsches were cheap. Add the two together and voila, a car that would demand more attention than a Lamborghini! I bought this car from a gentleman in Florida who ran a custom shop back in the day. He was keeping his custom Corvette and other toys but it was time to let this Porsche go. This Porsche was customized from a rust free original car. NO evidence of wreck damage, almost no rust, all original drivetrain including the motor and transmission, and a beautiful interior. Let's check out the details..... This Porsche is paint code 936-9-3 which is silver metallic. This car has been modified with a wide body kit, rear flares, custom wire wheels (awesome!!!), and more. Looking closely under the car, you will find little rust. The original floorpans are in great shape, under the doors looks good. MOST of the front suspension pan looks good EXCEPT for where the battery dripped down past the pan. I believe this one area could be patched unless, of course, you were going for a concourse resto. ALL original Sekurit glass. This would be a great candidate to backdate to an early longhood style Porsche. I have the original ATS 1973 date coded wheels available to the winning bidder for an additional $400. Overall this is a very solid 911 non sunroof car to work on. This car has been sitting for a little while (2 years according to its previous owner) after the clutch pedal went to the floor. I've put a hot battery in and tried starting it. The engine will spin just fine but I didn't get it to fire. It was running when parked and would need basic tlc to get back on the road. Check out the 8 tip exhaust! Mechanically this car is sold with no guarantees but only what my eyes tell me...all systems are original and intact and I feel that it wouldn't take too much work to make it roadworthy again. The interior of this car looks great. The seats were reupholstered in a stylish grey tweed that looks quite nice. The interior wouldn't require any restoration in my opinion unless you were going back original or with a race look. This car will be sold registered in my name here in Georgia with a current tag. This paperwork is good for export or good for any title state. Please email for any questions. For more pictures check out http://smu.gs/UmBGti
