1978 Porsche 911SC For your consideration is this simply magnificent, clean 911SC Targa with only 84,117 original and documented miles. This beauty is finished in brilliant silver metallic over black leather, the color combination is stunning and highly sought after! This 911 has been very well cared for and it shows. The car comes complete with all of it’s original books, maintenance log, service records/receipts, tool roll, air compressor, jack as well as two sets of keys. -Exterior- The body is in outstanding condition, no rust and no major blemishes. The car wears most all of it’s original paint. Structurally this car is solid, there is absolutely no rust including in the usual places such as the trunk, battery tray and floors. The car is further complimented by the original “Fuchs” which have absolutely no curb rash. All the glass is nice and clear with no scratches or hazing. The targa top is in superb condition inside and out Everything in the car works 100% including all gauges and accessories. -Interior- The interior is in very good original condition, seats are original and have very minimal wear...but livable considering they are coming up on 40 years old, carpets are the original Sliverknit and show almost no wear. The dash is perfect, no cracks, no warping. The rear decklid/parcel shelf is in perfect condition. The door panels and map pockets are in very excellent original condition.The car spent it’s entire life in an enclosed garage so there is no sun damage whatsoever. -Engine & Transmission- The original, numbers matching, engine is in outstanding mechanical condition, it has had a comprehensive engine rebuild which included everything from new head studs,new seals and hoses, upgraded to hydraulic "Carrera Style" tensioners, new piston rings etc etc. The engine is nice and dry, leaks no oil and runs beautifully. the 3.0 power plant is perfectly tuned, has great compression and starts right up on the first try each and every time, idles smoothly and runs as strong as it did when it was new. This car is simply provides the driver with nothing but pure enjoyment behind the wheel. This 911 does not burn or leak a drop of oil, this car does not leave so much as a drop of oil on the garage floor. The transmission shifts seamlessly through the all of the gears with no slipping or grinding. There are no strange noises or vibrations from the engine or drive train, all you hear is the music of the flat six engine.
