There were 56, 819 GT Torino Hardtops Built but only 3900 GT Torino Convertibles ever produced comparatively so its no wonder these cars are showing tremendous value and car collectors are after the 70 Model GT Convertibles, and very few exist with a 10% survival rate these are few and far between...and it helps that the cars are stunning and the body style is a throw back to what the muscle car era was all about. The styling was completely redesigned to a more coke bottle styling in 1970, influenced by aircrafts with bulging forward and rear fuselages. The car featured a more prominent long hood with scoop, short deck styling, and was wider and lower than previous models. Overall, the car appeared much more aerodynamic with a great stance and mean menacing muscle car look. This Ford GT is virtually an all original matching numbers car front to back. The engine and bay is nicely detailed and in good order. The interior is all original to the car, it does show some wear from over the years of course but all in all in really good shape for its age and obvious it has been taken care of. The dash is in good shape with one small crack. The AC unit is functioning and blows but will need servicing to bow cold if you choose. The convertible power top functions well and the top itself has been replaced and is in very good shape. The GT has been repainted once and the finish is very nice with a really nice finish on a laser straight body and panels. All the chrome and bright work is original to the car and shows some wear.
