GET READY TO BE STARED AT IF YOU WIN THIS AUCTION!!! Up for sale is a 1977 Homemade titled VW trike. Front end is a honda and back is from a vw beetle. Wife says it has to go to make room in the garage (she is tired of parking outside while my toys are inside). It has a 40hp motor believed to be a 1964. I bought the trike as a rolling chasis and a local vw guy helped complete it. This trike does run and drive. The 1st gear is sloppy but the rest shift as they should including reverse. I was told it may possibly be the shift coupling/bushing. I'm no mechanic and don't presume to know what this trike needs. The motor does leak oil(not a noticeable amount). I was told most vw's do. However i am selling this with the notion that there may be something wrong with the motor or may needs some work in the future. All lights work and speedometer works. Speedo is not wired for lights as I never drove it at night. Speedometer has 309 showing but that was installed when I put a brand new front tire on. So mileage is only for the tire not the engine and mileage may increase as I drive it around. Blinkers and mirrors are clip on. It does not have a horn. Hate to sell it but have another motorcycle that I drive and wife really doesn't like it. So it mostly just sits up in the garage and I need the space. 250.00 due upon auction end with balance to be paid in cash or paypal. Deposit is nonrefundable.
