Vehicle Detail

1960 Anniversary Edition Triumph Bonneville #188 out of 650 You are bidding on a very special bike. Besides, "nice bike!", the most common response when people see you on this will be, "What year is that?". It looks like the classic 1960 model, but you don't have to be a mechanic to own one and you won't need a piece of cardboard under it on the garage floor! I am the original owner, 52 years old and an extremely calm rider. I broke the bike in properly and it has been carefully maintained and never been red-lined. These bikes were and are extremely hard to find. I pre-ordered and waited almost two months to have this bike delivered back in ‘10. You could not find these on showroom floors since they disappeared as quickly as they arrived in the US. Please read description carefully. If you have questions, message me and I'll get you my cell #. I am located in Dubuque, IA, approximately 3 hours West of Chicago. Bike can either be picked up, or you can arrange for shipping. I have heard that Allied does a good job shipping motorcycles, but there are many shippers out there. ConditionImmaculate - If you are in the market for a Bonneville, you will not find a nicer one outside the showroom floor. Never been down, kept stored and covered in heated garage. It is in essentially perfect condition other than a couple of marks on the muffler under the passenger pegs. These could be rubbed out I'm sure, but are virtually impossible to avoid and will be back there the minute you give someone a ride. Maybe you know how to avoid this - I've never been able to figure that out! Also I lost the key to the fork lock which I'm sure could be easily replaced. Copious paperwork included, including all manuals, 2010 promotional brochures and a hand signed (by owner of Triumph) numbered certificate of authenticity. Just for the fun of it I tracked down a nice collection vintage literature and ads featuring the bike this one was modeled after from 1960. As you can imagine, this took many hours and significant dollars. All of this will be included with the bike.ExtrasThis Bike is decked out with nearly every option available, all parts are factory Triumph . Triumph saddle bags $390 Center Stand $240 Summer screen $270 (on and off in seconds) Cover $150 (Cover has two small holes from where it touched muffler)Triumph backrest $200 General information Info on original 1960 Triumph Bonneville: http://www.classic-british-motorcycles.com/1960-triumph-bonneville.html Review of Anniversary Edition: http://motorcycle-s-sport.blogspot.com/2010/07/2010-new-triumph-motorcycles-bonneville.htmlOnly 650 units of this commemorative edition of the 1960 Bonneville were built, 100 of which came to North America. Each motorcycle features two-tone Meriden and Caspian Blue paint, a numbered handlebar clamp plaque and a certificate of authenticity.Timeless 60s styling. 21st century engineering. 100% Bonneville. The classic Triumph. Parallel-twin, spoked wheels and lashings of quality chrome. The T100 is our modern interpretation of the classic Bonnevilles that ruled the roost back in the 1960s. Twin pea-shooter exhausts, two-tone paint and that Triumph embossed seat say ‘classic British motorcycle’ but while the T100 may look like its come straight out of ‘the day’, the technology and ride experience most definitely do not. The 865cc engine, an air-cooled parallel twin of course, is fitted with up to date fuel injection for clean and efficient running and the suspension and brakes are bang up to date too, so you won’t sacrifice today’s technology with your taste of yesterday. Biking the way it was. And how it is today. The Bonneville was first introduced in 1959, although the 1960 Bonneville T120 was commonly regarded as a more handsome creation than the earliest models thanks to its classic blue and grey colour scheme, blade style mudguard and integrated headlamp/instrument nacelle. Inspired by the classic colour scheme of the 1960 incarnation of Triumph’s most famous model, the Bonneville Sixty is a limited run of 650 T100s featuring a unique two-tone Meriden Blue/Caspian Blue combination. The paint finish has hand-painted pinstripes that give a premium finish. To add to the Bonneville Sixty’s limited edition appeal, each motorcycle comes with a numbered plaque on the handlebar clamp and an individual certificate of authenticity. 2010 Triumph Bonneville 60/Sixty/1960 Anniversary Edition - USA Specifications Air-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin, 360 degree firing interval Capacity 865cc Bore/Stroke 90 x 68mm Compression Ratio 9.2:1 Fuel System Multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection with SAI 5-speed Front Wheel 36-spoke, 19 x 2.5in Rear Wheel 40-spoke, 17 x 3.5in Front Tyre 100/90 19 Rear Tyre 130/80 R 17 Front Suspension Kayaba 41mm forks, 120mm travel Rear Suspension Kayaba chromed spring twin shocks with adjustable preload, 106mm rear wheel travel Front Brakes Single 310mm disc, Nissin 2 piston floating caliper Rear Brakes Single 255mm disc, Nissin 2 piston floating caliper Dimensions Length 87.7in Width (Handlebars) 29.1in Height 43.3in Seat Height 30.5in Wheelbase 59in Rake/Trail 28 degree/110mm Wet Weight 495lbs Fuel Tank Capacity 4.2 US gal Performance (measured at crankshaft to 95/1/EC) Maximum Power EC 66bhp @ 7500 rpm Maximum Torque EC 50ft.lbs @ 5800 rpm
