Up for sale is my first pickup, nicknamed 'Old Yeller'. I bought this truck in high school ~20 years ago as the second owner. Originally the truck was a camper on chassis special. I scraped the camper and turned it into my regular driver for ~8 years. Original transfer died and began rebuilding...slowly. Rebuild paused...parked in storage...began again in 2010. Currently use the truck to haul hay occasionally and pull a horse trailer. This truck is fun to drive and grabs a lot of attention, or people are just pointing, whatever. Selling due to the typical story...no time to finish...lots of kids..etc...etc. The Good: -Engine: 350ci V8 with RV cam, flat top pistons (can't remember the compression ratio), Holley high rise intake manifold with Holley 600cfm 1850-2 carburetor (manual choke), <20,000mi on engine -Drivetrain: Original 4 speed rebuilt in 1998, New Process transfer case rebuilt in 1998 both <20,000mi -Driveaxle: 4:11, 1 ton axle with overload springs -Cab painted 2012 -Flatbed purchased new and mounted 2013, J and I truck bed manufacturing, bumper pull and gooseneck hitches -Interior: Original seat (typical changes with use), headliner, visors (passenger visor losing stitching), doors and dash in great shape, will leave cowboy hat holder (no charge!). Most of the interior is in great shape given its age and compared to similar pickups -All gauges work - tachometer, speedometer, engine temp, oil pressure -Rebuilt power steering gear box replaced 2013 with new power steering lines -Glass-pack mufflers I have all of the original decals but planned to replace with new. Will include all parts with sale which includes he original decals, intake manifold and filter, A/C pump, smog pump The Bad: -Engine, transfer leak oil. I have given up tracking down oil leak. Transfer probably needs new seals due to be placed in storage dry for years. -Driver side front wheel/hub broke so 4wd does not work, hence no driveline to front axle currently -Needs new tires and wheels if you can't stand the original steel white rims. -Wiring could use some work. Everything works except the turn signals kick on the hazard lights. -Needs new carpeting/flooring -Blower fan/heater works, air conditioning pump not in place...current A/C is an open window -Original glass, one small rock chip in windshield but otherwise good, rear window new 1994 when camper removed, awesome stickers included -Will probably need a new starter soon -Needs new float for gas tank sending unit. I have purchased the float and will include it or might install before sale. -No side rear view mirrors, I couldn't decide on a style so nothing mounted yet I've enjoyed this truck and hope someone else will too.
