Here's an original 1933 Willys Coupe hot rod that was part of a private collection located in the foothills near Fresno, California. This gentleman had over 60 classic cars that he acquired over a lifetime of collecting. His entire estate was recently auctioned off but this particular car was given to his daughter in 2004 prior to his death for her to sell when the time came. She has the California title in hand, registered correctly as a 1933 Willys, no penalties or extra fees due. She doesn’t know a lot about the car so here's what we can see: It's an all steel body including the fenders and deck lid with a one piece fiberglass front end. The body sits on a custom made, chrome plated tubular chassis that is extremely well built. This was definitely done by professionals. It's has an all Jaguar front end and Jaguar rear end, also chrome plated. It has an early 1970's small block Ford engine and automatic transmission (partially disassembled, not running). The steering is unlike anything we've seen using a chain and sprocket set up. It's incredibly smooth and tight and very well done. The custom interior is real leather and all the glass is good. There's no carpet in the car and we removed the leather trunk panels for the photos (they are included). The classic "foot" gas pedal is not attached. The floor is customized to house the electrical, brakes, etc. and is also quite unique (see photos). Overall, this is a rust free car that's been sitting for years inside a shop here in the dry Central Valley of California. It's customized with some very unique features done by true craftsmen of the trade. It needs a complete restoration but it's a great start for someone looking to build a real 1933 Willys. We polished a few areas of the frame and front end just to show what it can look like, a little elbow grease will go a long way. This car is being sold as-is with no warranty or guarantees.
