Vehicle Detail

"Look here it's one of them Deals" Please read description and look at photo's, Space concerns force the sale of my 1962 Dnepr MB750 Russian Military Motorcycle. This unit is the 750CC Flathead version. This unit was brought to the US by a Chez immigrant in the early 90's. He was not super mechanical and "fixed" this bike until it would not run in any way. So I bought it 5-6 years ago, Rebuilt the engine new Pistons rings Stainless valves and hardened seats, Line Bored all done correctly no expense spared(nearly a $2000 deal) Bike runs like a top, Starts first kick (none of them do that) cylinders run identical Temperatures (another very common problem), Carbs are sync'd Perfectly and she purrs like a kitten. This is a 2 wheel drive unit with reverse! Yes the Side car side wheel drives, and you can back it up just like a chevy. After rebuilding the motor I installed new tires and brakes (tires came with the unit so they are Russian marked Knobbies) Brakes are new HOWEVER, these bikes are 800#'s give or take. Two Drum Brakes, The front being cable pull, Stopping is an Experience.. If I were going to keep the unit I would consider a retro Disc on the front. There are also kits to install brakes on the side car driven wheel. Probably not a bad idea.. The Electrical stuff on this bike have been a challenge. I bought 3 generators from Russia before finally buying a very expensive new one (now on the bike). it generates like mad (however) the 2-3 Russian regulators I have are just ok. Presently the charging system keeps the battery up. Lights do not work, I have not ever worked on or tried to repair the lights. The entire electrical system is about 7 wires.. To many other projects, I only rode it for fun / shows and the occasional parade. Speedo did not work when I bought the bike. The 222KM showing is total correct miles since overhaul. Dribbles some oil occasionally from the breather tube, these bikes are notorious Leakers, this one is very dry in comparison. Fun to drive and show off. A Great attention getter. Military acceptance stars on all the Major components (shown in photos) this is the real deal. I have been told by persons much more Russian Bike Savy than I, that this side car Tub may well be civilian. These were all kind of Franken-Bikes put together for us Nuts in the US that may buy one in the last 20 years. Much like E-bay the Iowa DMV did have a DNEPR Category, so the Title shows this unit incorrectly as a URAL. Now I have fought with them, initially they said there was no such thing (Dnepr) later they said that Dnepr and URAL are the same company so they do not care. Now that is not quite correct they do share common Owner ship URAL MKZ and DNEPR, as well as many common parts. So title is numbers correct MFG incorrect however, unless you told someone, they will/ would never know. So everyone knows that is what we have and if it is a concern, don't bid. Now one other thing to mention EBAY EXPERTS.. First we are all very impressed with your AWESOME knowledge. However when / IF you all get the URGE to tell me that this bike has to be a 1959 and not a 1962... OR that the lock washers under the seat are wrong... Or that we have rubber footpegs that should be neoprene.. Do us all a favor.. Go back to the basement at Moms house. Turn back on Star Trek, or Saved by the bell, shut up and leave us alone.. You may note in my description or the 20+ high resolution photos. No one claims this is a 100 Point bike, or that Hitler's sister drove it, or that it belongs at Barrett Jackson. This is a great old fun Pretty correct Russian Military bike. hard to find, especially one that runs well. There is a MANDITORY deposit in 24 hours after the end of the sale.. This is ONE day.. Please keep that in mind. Sold where is as is, No warranty expressed or Implied On Jul-01-14 at 14:10:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Hey Bidders I thank everyone for all the interest. I am Traveling Thursday through Monday. So Please keep that in mind if someone in the Midwest was planning on running this direction I am NOT available until Monday the 7th late in the day.. I want to be sure I am not screwing up anyone's plans Mike
