Vehicle Detail
This is a wonderful old piece of history, Rare 39 1/2 ton with updated6cyl engine, new tires, exhaust, seat cover, and more. It starts well, It steers well, and it gets more thumbs up and smilesthan my show truck.... Engine: 261 6cyl. from a later model chevy truck. Reliable, strong, tons of torque and starts every time. Completelyrebuilt in 2006, Very few miles since. Transmission: Standard 4spd. Good strong original transmission. LOW granny gear. No issues Body: Doors, hood ,bed rails, cab, running boards all very, very good for the age of this truck. Old wood just laid in the bed, Yes...the fenders are lumpy and bumpy....but for me it just adds to the character and the originality of the truck. This is an excellent truck to leave as is or restore. All parts are readily available from numerous parts stores. This era of Chevrolet Pickup is getting nearly impossible to find, especially as original as this one. I have a new floor mat to installand it needs a headliner. (All the proper parts are there, it just needs the cardboard). Honestly, I hate selling it, but I have a daughter in college I need to help with tuition expenses. I will add more pictures soon. Terms: Cash or Wire transfer. No I do not need help selling this truck. Good Clear title. Questions. Serious buyers may contact Jim at 816-729-8513. Good luck! It's a Dandy!!On Jun-16-14 at 04:49:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several calls asking me if all the sheet metal is original. It definitely is. I could have replaced the fenders with new fiberglass ones, but to me that takes away from the originality and character of the truck. History preserved! Also, I reserve the right to market the truck locally and can end the auction at my discretion if a serious offer is made.
