Up for auction is my 1969 pace car . lets start out about the good with the car. I recently purchased it and it has been with the same family for 25 years inside and not used much. The car has had one repaint back in 1979 I have the slip on it and many other slips that date back in the 70's .Also have an appraisal from 1979 that is a real pace car and was worth $6,000.00 at that time. The paint still looks good with some minor chips here and there but looks good for cruise nights or whatever. The trim tag has the very rare 04L date code only two known to exist . It has a m20 4 speed and 12 bolt rear non posi . This one did not have many options but has tilt wheel and power steering and brakes. recent upgrades include new top, decals, side stripes, pitman arm , heater core, water pump,. The car runs and drives good it was sitting for the past ten years in the garage . Now for the bad the 350 engine is long gone and was replaced with a small block 400 the trunk has had some kind of patch in the center probably before they made the replacement. The floors are original and solid except the driver foot area need to be replaced but is ok for now. All the sheet metal looks original the 1/4s have been worked over the wheel houses. All for cocktail shakers are present, headlight do open but wont shut on their own. Horn works and so does the gas gauge, speedo,. No radio and reverse light don't work just needs to be plugged in I think. Please ask questions as these are big dollar cars but I know it needs work so I want to make sure if someone buys it they know what they are buying. overall its a nice looking real deal pace car that is road worthy and should be taken to the next level. Hagerty collector car says low end driver is 35,300 I would think this car falls under that you decide. Buyer to pay and arrange shipping charges Thanks for looking.
