Vehicle Detail

** Please Bid with the Intentions to Buy ** 1970 Cutlass Supreme Convertible Original 4 Speed! I have owned this car for the last 15 years and it has been a pleasure to drive as well as show. I believe I’m the third owner and when I originally bought the car, it came from a barn in Colorado. My intentions were to build a car that I could drive and enjoy – not trailer. The engine is not original to the car, so I had it professionally built with performance parts from Eddies Valve Grinding is Sayreville, NJ. The rest of the drivetrain is original. I’ve had many other Oldsmobile enthusiasts look the car over from top to bottom. The car has had a total and complete ground up restoration. The suspension, drive train, interior, and exterior have all been rebuilt with performance parts, replaced with quality components or restored back to an original specification. My goal was to keep the car looking as stock as possible but with added horsepower and performance. The transmission was removed and professionally built by Man-Trans in Tallahassee FL. Both the engine and transmission were built with warranties. I also have documentation regarding the Production Numbers of how rare this vehicle is. According to: General Motors Heritage Center 6400 Center Drive Sterling Heights, MI 48312 Their records go through June of 1970 and exclude a detailed breakdown of 4267 Models (Convertibles). 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertibles total built = 11,354 4200 Models total M20 4-speed manual transmission = 679 4200 Models total M21 close ration 4-speed manual transmission = 203 4200 models total 4-speed manual transmission = 882 Additionally and with further research and documentation: There were a total of 633,981 Oldsmobile’s produced in 1970. Out of those; 11, 354 were convertibles. Out of the 11,354 convertibles built, only 71 were ordered with an M21 4-speed transmission. There were also a handful of M20 4-speeds built in the Supreme Convertible Package, but as an unknown number. - The cowl tag shows a dash for one of four special order colors in 1970 – this one is Sebring Yellow. This is also a Christmas car, because it was built in the 4th week (D) of December (12) 1969. Also includes rare options such as the Courtesy Map Light in the Rear View Mirrow and Rallye Pack Guages. This Cutlass is extremely reliable and mechanically sound with no noticeable leaks and would drive it long distances without hesitation. The paint has minor nicks (7/10) and it does need a few small things to make it perfect. Yellow was the original color. This Cutlass is an attention getter and will turn heads from all directions. The car didn’t originally have the stripes, 442 hood, or spoiler. I do have the broadcast sheet for the car as well which will be given to the new owner. The Cutlass also comes with all the original parts that I can find: i.e. Original hood, intake, original 350 rocket air cleaner with labels etc…. If there are any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to ask and I will try to respond as accurately and swiftly as possible. I have no problems helping find a shipper on the east coast. I have a trailer and am possibly willing to help in relocation. All shipping arrangements will be the responsibility of the buyer. I had the wires run for a sound system that I was going to install in the trunk. The original radio was installed in the car along with two Panasonic 6x9 speakers behind the back seat. I didn’t want to cut any holes in the original dash or anywhere else. The transmission is an M20 dated March 8th, 1968. It shifts smoothly with no issues or grinding. The engine was also quoted to have 450-500 hp by Eddies Valve Grinding. Also, the rear is an SJ coded axel tube with 3.91 posi traction gears. **Members with less than 10 feedback need to contact me prior to bidding** DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU INTEND TO PURCHASE The car is available for inspection.
