1958 Willis Jeep Wagon-RESTORED 1958 Willis Jeep Wagon-RESTORED As we say in Texas, “This Jeep would drive up a tree if the bark would hold.” I have an antiquity company in the middle of Texas. We specialize in fine antiques and collectibles. Once in a while my customers turn in a classic automobile or motorcycle. This is one of those items: This beautiful Willys Wagon came to us from a local friend. In the last five years he slowly restored it. Our friend rebuilt the engine, the carburetor, and did a lot of floor work. He also re-did the seats and the panels. He also made a custom tail-gate for his Jeep. The Willys has the wooden floor panels in the back that are done in a mahogany stain. When we received the Willys we sent it out for a complete paint job (good enough for a jeep $2,200) and now the Wagon looks like a little beautiful toy. The Willys comes with a L6-226 Super Hurricane straight 6 engine and it is a standard 4X4. The Willys runs and drives very good. It starts right away and the engine sounds beautiful. The interior and the glass look great. The Willys is a Texas vehicle and comes with a clear Texas title and the owner’s manual. Please remember that this is one of the first SUVs and the Willys is not going to be as fast as a Ferrari or as smooth as a Rolls Royce, but it can go places that Ferrari’s and Rolls can only dream of. All the inspections must be done before the auction closes. Remember that this classic SUV is 54 cars old. Please remember that things always look better in pictures.
