Vehicle Detail
ARIZONA CAR NO RUST I purposely tried to show you all the little flaws this car has so there are no suprises, I hate when people tell me something is perfect and then qualify it with "well it is perfect for 24 years old" The car also has 4 basically new tires on it. I get compliments everywhere I go on this car. Dont misunderstand all the flaws as this is still a very nice car, not a show piece or a trailer queen. this a nice running and driving and looking car. There is NO RESERVE on it so it is selling. Ok, I will be very critical of this very nice car. My version of perfect and others versions of perfect are entirely 2 different things. That being said, again it is a very nice car but its nowhere near perfect. The imperfections don't take away from the beauty too much, but they are there. Lets start with the drivers side and go around. The leather on the drivers seat is torn around the emblem, the bottom of the seat and the other seats are in very nice condition. The drivers door panel has 2 holes and or cracks, as pictured but the remainder of the other doors are very nice. I got this car from an estate sale a few months back, this is a Arizona Car so rust isn't anywhere in the description. Anyway the digital dash didn't work but the family members assured me the mileage was 130,000. I replaced the digital dash with one from a junk yard that works fine but says 191,266 miles (well that's what its said when I plugged it in) its more now from driving. The speedo is relatively the same as a gps. I do have the old instrument cluster that will reveal the true mileage once fixed, there is a guy here on ebay that fixes them for 100.00 Or if someone knows what wire to power to reveal that mileage I will check. I honestly think the miles are much lower. The car belonged to a world war 2 veteran and when he was 80 the car had 69,000 according to the title when he transferred to his estate. I find it hard to believe he put 70,000 miles on in ten years between the ages of 80 to 90. But, it could be. either way I am not going to certify mileage. So, lets move around toward the back of the car, the back seat is in really, really good shape. The trunk has a small dent on the deck lid as pictured. The spare doughnut is in the trunk and the power trunk works good. around to the passenger side I tried to picture the scratch under the trim on the rear door. The passenger front fender has had some repaint done at some time and doesn't quite match as you can see. The power antenna is stuck in the up position. The front of the car has the black pads on the bumper, one of them the black is wearing off and you can see the yellow. The passenger parking light has a small crack in it, but its nothing and I almost forgot. There are small dings and scratches around the corners but the car is still very nice. The car runs and drives very nice, the air works well the digital control works well the radio sounds great and functions well, I haven't tried the cassette. I noticed when you hit the brakes hard there is a vibration, just normal driving you don't notice but if you stand on them there is some vibration. One of the tail lights is out and I will check that out this weekend. I am also going to have the oil changed so I can get it on a rack and show you the underside. This thing is clean, clean underneath this is a dry desert car. I did notice that it looks like the remains of a towing package are on the car for (extra support I'm guessing) for some reason instead of un bolting the cut the bottom flanges off and left the frame support. I will add those pictures as soon as I get the oil changed. old timer want the frame a little more durable makes sense to me? Also, I don't know if I mentioned above but there is a small crack in the top of the dash, I pictured it but its hardly noticeable. I had a cheap detail done on it, and honestly it don't look any better than when I brought it to them. they did a terrible job if you ask me so I would say it needs a good detail. The roof is in very nice shape, but has a mark above the drivers door that almost looks like a pencil mark. The gold package is faded and I have the rear Cadillac emblem. Again I am being brutally critical of this car but it is a very nice car. I encourage anyone to come look and see this beauty. Compliments everywhere you go. I can drive to a shipper in the Phoenix area to help with that but hope its local pick up. I will probably think of more detail when I upload the under carriage pictures. Feel free to ask any questions. I hate when people tell me something is perfect and I find all this little stuff that don't equal perfect to me.
