First year for the GT 380 with the double leading shoe front brake and Hawaiian Green color. Most desirable year and color. I purchased this bike about 4 years ago from a friend who was the second owner having owned it since the mid 70's. It was purchased new here in Erie PA from Dicks Cycle Sport. It had been in dry storage since 1981 and still bears a PA 1981 inspection sticker and license plate, which you can see in the photos. When I got the bike I thoroughly cleaned and waxed it, cleaned the carbs, rebuilt the petcock, and had the tank professionally cleaned and lined as I do with all of my older bikes. It then started, ran and rode very well. I have ridden it occasionally for about 10 miles or so at a time as the tires are over 30 years old. I did not want to mount new tires to keep it all original as possible. With new tires I would not be afraid to ride it anywhere. My mechanic worked at the dealership where this bike was originally sold during the 70's and has extensive experience with this model. He now has his own shop and went completely over the bike last week. He cleaned and synchronized the carbs and checked the timing which was spot on. He also test rode the bike for 10 miles and reported that it starts, idles, runs, shifts, and rides perfectly. This bike is 100% original and has not had a so called "restoration" or been otherwise molested in any way. The Hawaiian Green paint is in near perfect condition with no fading, bubbling or rust at all. The plastic side covers show no cracking or fading. There are 3 tiny "zipper" marks at the rear base of the tank which do not show up on the photos. All of the chrome including the wheels, pipes, fenders, signals, etc. are in excellent condition with no rust or pitting. The only flaws are a small dent in the front of the front fender (see photos) and some rust at the nuts on top of the ram air piece that I did not wish to tamper with. The seat is original and in excellent condition with no tears or marks. Everything on the bike works including the lights, switches, turn signals, horn, clutch, brakes, etc. All of the plastic, grommets, fork boots, and cables are excellent. The coating on the top of the engine side cases shows some minor flaking. My mechanic tells me that this is common for this model. I did not polish the cases as most have done. They are only original once. An original Suzuki cover in very good condition is included. I have included a photo that shows some of my other bides (not for sale) in the background. I am a serious motorcyclist and not a junk dealer. I have done my best to describe the bike accurately. I doubt that you will find a nicer original I hold the clear PA title in my name There is no warranty because the bike is 42 years old. I will hold the bike for up to two weeks after the deposit is received. I expect cash in person, a cashier's check, or wire transfer as soon as shipping is arranged.
