1968 Ford Mustang California Special, 302ci 2barrel, C4 auto trans. Originally Meadowlark Yellow with vinyl top. Built at the San Jose Plant. Guaranteed to be an authentic California special. It is a true fair weather car. I have had this car for several years and have gone through many mechanical aspects. I had the steering gearbox overhauled. Installed a new hydraulic steering pump/cylinder and control valve. Also replaced lower control arms, inner and outer tie rods, sway links/bushings, brakes/brake cylinders at all 4 corners, New Pitman/Idler arm and fresh alignment. The engine installed is not original and has many new parts such as fuel pump, water pump, carb, electronic distributer(have original points) etc. I have the original engine on a pallet that was given to me when I purchased the car(needs a rebuild) which will be included. The original yellow paint can be seen under at least two mediocre re-paints. The fiberglass parts in back are original. The uni-body is in fantastic shape. I can't believe how good it looks underneath! The metal pan has never rusted or been welded. There are no dents, rust repair or signs of improper jacking/lifting. It is missing the Lucas Fog Lights. I have brand new replacement "California special" emblems for the rear quarter panel as they were previously removed. I also have another set of 1968 hubcaps. The wiring needs to be re-worked to the gauge cluster. The speedo/odometer functions. The heater functions as well. I have too many cars/projects and no time to play! On Jun-09-14 at 11:32:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I replaced both "quarter window" regulators. Both front regulators work fine,but the drivers side window can be pushed down with force when it should lock in position.
