Vehicle Detail
You have seen an El Camino on Ebay this past week, it looks just like mine on the outside, but underneath and inside, just a little different! It sits on a Powdercoated high gloss 1964 Impala frame, modified to allow the special 4 link suspension with coilovers, mounted to the Nascar type Rear housing which is fitted with full floater axles and a Ford 9" with 4:56 gear and Detroit Locker. It runs 30" rubber on Aluminum Crager Drag Star wheels in rear mounted on 15 X 10 rims, 15 X 7 up front. 4 Wheel power disc brakes, Ididit Polished Tilt steering column, New 15" Smaller Steering Wheel, Vintage Air Conditioning, Autosound Stereo with 6 CD Changer, kick panel speakers with rear box speakers behind the 1990 Ford Thunderbird Power seats, a 605 Power Steering system, powered by a 350 cu in. 385 Fast Burn Crate Engine with Turn Key option. Stainless Steel Polished Cast Headers from Speedway Inc., exhaust is Full Aluminized 2" through Flowmasters, Shifts with a rebuilt 700R Trans that was from a 1991 caprice police car. It was modified to shift on the fly. The gear shift is a Genie floor shifter poking up through the console covered with Black carpet. New Glass was installed all the way around. New in the box yet is the Dakota Digital Gauge set which goes with the car. It is equipped with a trailer hitch for hauling parts to swap meets. It has new taillight lens and original T3 headlights. All stainless was polished and all aluminum was stripped and polished. The topof bed Stainless is without snap holes rare to find, with the bed cover is covered with black vinyl, originally made by Renfro, now bought out by Gaylord. No bed liner yet, but could cover well as there is no rust inside or on the floor. I left it original to show condition and I haul stuff too. It isequipped with overload Air Bags just in case a load needs some extra help, modified where original coils were mounted. Trailing arms are all custom built with Adjustable Heim joint connections. This El Camino is not a 1000 point car, but a good 900 and it is a great driver, with ability to trailer your other toys behind if you are so inclined. It can be seen just about any weekend at Supercar Sunday or a car show somewhere in LA area San Fernando Valley. I will drive it to you if you are serious or let you know where I will be at a show or cruise in or Coffee and Bagals or the like. This Tues Night at Carl's Jr., corner of Lindley and Chatsworth St. The reserve is way below what it would cost to duplicate this vehicle. I will not be giving out the reserve as it is so low, why would I? I need to just into my other El Camino and get it on the road to sell also, but it is the 1960 model and is a little bit different looking, so if you desire that model, I can deal on it too!
