I was out driving this BEAUTY today taking the pictures and I felt like I was driving a time machine and had gone back to 1963 !! We just purchased this car from the previous older Idaho collector who has owned this car for the last 10+ years and as you can clearly see in the pictures and video this was his pride and joy for sure ! He told us that he thought that he was the second owner and that the car had 42,396 ACTUAL - ORIGINAL MILES since it was brand new but we have no way of proving it. Just look at this thing though !! This Corvair is ready to drive anywhere !! Thousands of dollars and many, many, many hours were spent on the restoration / build, care and upkeep of this Corvair Monza and boy does it show ! Most of the interior was redone including VERY NICE - Correct - Black vinyl upholstery, VERY NICE black carpeting and it has a nearly brand new Black vinyl convertible top, etc... All of the ORIGINAL rubber weatherstripping is still soft, supple and in good condition for being original. Cars like this were quite a novelty in their day to say the least but now, in this kind of shape ? What a find! Any Corvair enthusiast would be pleased to own this BEAUTY. It still retains its - FACTORY ORIGINAL - correctly mounted - rear inner fender mounted data plate and its - FACTORY ORIGINAL - correctly mounted drivers side door piller mounted VIN plate, both of which are shown in two pictures below. I drove this BEAUTY as my every-day driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and I can assure you this car runs and drives well. I drove it to the office the other morning with the top down and can see why these cars are so loved by their owners, TOO FUN !! It also does well on the freeway at modern highway speeds. If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days please come look at and drive this car for yourself, you won't be disappointed. THIS IS A QUALITY CAR !! This Corvair Monza has what appers to be the ORIGINAL - STRONG - REBUILT - 2.4 Liter Air Cooled 6 cylinder motor in it that is running VERY WELL indeed. The motor retains the ORIGINAL air cleaner housing, ORIGINAL intake manifolds, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds and the ORIGINAL Dual Rochester 1 barrel carbs. The motor is backed by a - SMOOTH - REBUILT - four speed synchro manual gearbox / transaxle which also functions well. Sounds good too with the factory style exhaust system. The - Code "948" - Palomar Red exterior finish on this BEAUTY is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL with really little to no wear showing other than a few very small chips and imperfections and is still bright, shiny and looks STUNNING to say the least as you can clearly see in the video above and pictures below. The Black vinyl convertible top and matching Black vinyl convertible top boot are all nearly NEW and in NICE condition. When I was taking the pictures I noticed how easy it was for one person to put the top up and down. The - Code"712" - Black vinyl Monza bucket seat interior is in VERY NICE condition and looks BEAUTIFUL including VERY NICE Black vinyl front bucket seats, VERY NICE Black vinyl rear bench seat, VERY NICE Black carpeting, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Corvair Monza steering wheel, VERY NICE matching Black vinyl door panels, VERY NICE Black vinyl convertible top boot cover, VERY NICE factory gauge clusters, NICE ORIGINAL Black vinyl sunvisors and a VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black vinyl dash pad with NO CRACKS !! This Corvair Convertible is nicely equipped including a factory floor mounted shifter, working original Delco AM radio, good heater and defroster, factory wing windows, factory guage clusters with a 100 mph speedometer, original day / night rear view mirror, power wipers, factory back up lights, original chrome driver's side view exterior mirror and a rear mounted full size spare tire. The CLEAN - SOLID - "front trunk" area also sports a factory style spray liner. It is a really COOL little vehicle. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !! Check out the FACTORY ORIGINAL Monza stainless steel wheel covers and BRAND NEW whitewall steel belted radials, boy does this combination look outstanding on this BEAUTY and really retains that clean "FACTORY ORIGINAL" look !! All of the ORIGINAL exterior chrome and stainlees steel body trim and moldings are in VERY NICE condition including VERY NICE ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumpers, NICE ORIGINAL Monza badging and good ORIGINAL aluminum headlight surrounds !! This little 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible is a real find ! I was out driving this BEAUTY today taking the pictures and I felt like I was driving a time machine and had gone back to 1963 !! We just purchased this car from the previous older Idaho collector who has owned this car for the last 10+ years and as you can clearly see in the pictures and video this was his pride and joy for sure ! He told us that he thought that he was the second owner and that the car had 42,396 ACTUAL - ORIGINAL MILES since it was brand new but we have no way of proving it. Just look at this thing though !! This Corvair is ready to drive anywhere !! Thousands of dollars and many, many, many hours were spent on the restoration / build, care and upkeep of this Corvair Monza and boy does it show ! Most of the interior was redone including VERY NICE - Correct - Black vinyl upholstery, VERY NICE black carpeting and it has a nearly brand new Black vinyl convertible top, etc... All of the ORIGINAL rubber weatherstripping is still soft, supple and in good condition for being original. Cars like this were quite a novelty in their day to say the least but now, in this kind of shape ? What a find! Any Corvair enthusiast would be pleased to own this BEAUTY. It still retains its - FACTORY ORIGINAL - correctly mounted - rear inner fender mounted data plate and its - FACTORY ORIGINAL - correctly mounted drivers side door piller mounted VIN plate, both of which are shown in two pictures below. I drove this BEAUTY as my every-day driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and I can assure you this car runs and drives well. I drove it to the office the other morning with the top down and can see why these cars are so loved by their owners, TOO FUN !! It also does well on the freeway at modern highway speeds. This Corvair Monza has what appers to be the ORIGINAL - STRONG - REBUILT - 2.4 Liter Air Cooled 6 cylinder motor in it that is running VERY WELL indeed. The motor retains the ORIGINAL air cleaner housing, ORIGINAL intake manifolds, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds and the ORIGINAL Dual Rochester 1 barrel carbs. The motor is backed by a - SMOOTH - REBUILT - four speed synchro manual gearbox / transaxle which also functions well. Sounds good too with the factory style exhaust system. The - Code "948" - Palomar Red exterior finish on this BEAUTY is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL with really little to no wear showing other than a few very small chips and imperfections and is still bright, shiny and looks STUNNING to say the least as you can clearly see in the video above and pictures below. The Black vinyl convertible top and matching Black vinyl convertible top boot are all nearly NEW and in NICE condition. When I was taking the pictures I noticed how easy it was for one person to put the top up and down. This Corvair Convertible is nicely equipped including a factory floor mounted shifter, working original Delco AM radio, good heater and defroster, factory wing windows, factory guage clusters with a 100 mph speedometer, original day / night rear view mirror, power wipers, factory back up lights, original chrome driver's side view exterior mirror and a rear mounted full size spare tire. The CLEAN - SOLID - "front trunk" area also sports a factory style spray liner. It is a really COOL little vehicle. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !! Check out the FACTORY ORIGINAL Monza stainless steel wheel covers and BRAND NEW whitewall steel belted radials, boy does this combination look outstanding on this BEAUTY and really retains that clean "FACTORY ORIGINAL" look !! All of the ORIGINAL exterior chrome and stainlees steel body trim and moldings are in VERY NICE condition including VERY NICE ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumpers, NICE ORIGINAL Monza badging and good ORIGINAL aluminum headlight surrounds !! I looked underneath and also included photos below, again this is a NICE - DRY - Idaho high mountain desert - Western car and it shows !! This vehicle can be had for quite a bit less than what it is worth all for the need of a quick sale. We prefer a bank to bank wire transfer of funds as payment for the car but we will also accept a bank cashiers check (US only) or a third party check but we will validate the checks authenticity and the funds must clear our account before the vehicle or the title to the vehicle is released to the buyer or the buyers agent.
