jchats1 Store Up for auction is my 1961 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe that has undergone a full ground-up restoration and is in fantastic condition. The car is simply beautiful and the Fontana Rose color is rare since only 5% of the Cadillacs had this factory color in 1961. Every single piece of chrome was re-chromed and every single piece of stainless was straightened and polished to show quality standards. Nothing was overlooked to make this car look as good as it possibly could. As you can see from the pictures, the interior is not done to look original. It looks MUCH better! The fabric is a great color match to the Fontana Rose on the exterior. There is NO WEAR anywhere on the interior! That includes the seats AND the carpeting. The following items were all rebuilt or replaced with new items: Complete engine rebuild. Hardened valve seats on the heads so the car runs fine on unleaded gas. Rebuilt the transmission, generator, starter and power steering pump. Replaced the carburetor with a new Edelbrock unit. I still have the original air cleaner in case someone wanted to go back to the original carburetor and air cleaner. New exhaust system and muffler. New mechanical fuel pump and an added auxiliary electric fuel pump. Added an electronic ignition system that installed under the distributor cap. No more need for points or condenser. New shocks, ball joints, idler arm, rear axle bearings. Recored the radiator. Car runs cool and never overheats. Replaced every single item relating to the air conditioner under the hood. This includes the compressor, dryer, condenser, hot gas bypass valve, hoses, evaporator. Replaced the radio with a Custom Autosound unit capable of playing AM or FM stations. It also plays music via your USB flash drive. If you wish, you can also add a 6 CD changer to the unit. I have the original radio that I will include with the car. Replaced the front brakes with a disc brake system especially made for the 1961 Cadillac. This system also included a dual master cylinder and new brake power booster. There also are four new tires (less than 500 miles) on the coupe.
