Not a lot changed from the ’66 model with the exception of the minor changes to the grill and tail lights. This was the last year for the square body style. This Chevelle has had a frame on resto with new interior and paint. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. When you walk around it you will see a solid body with arrow straight lines and good gaps. Everything is covered in the Base coat Blear Coat Marina Blue that is slick to the touch. You can see the time that was put into the paint with all the jams and under the trunk being painted. At the time of the resto they replaced the bumpers as well as other chrome. All the weather stripping was also replaced. When you look at the glass and window seals they all look good. For an old school feel it has a set of Rally Wheels and a new set of Red lines Tires from Coker. Next, we will take a look at the interior of the Super Sport. Everything on the inside is done in classic black with the correct buckets and console. The console has the factory clock that works along with the dome light and horn. When you look at the dash it all looks correct with the factory in dash gauges. The radio was updated to an Am/FM. All the upper dash trim was replaced as well as the dash pad. Everything looks new right down to the carpet and headliner and it retains a working set of seat belts. Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood its power by a 396 that is mated to a Turbo Trans and a 12 Bolt Rear End that has the rear sway bar. The engine is dressed with chrome valve covers and breather. The ignition was upgraded to HEI and a set of Headers with Flow Master Exhaust were added. For options it comes with Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes. The floors and frame look very good with no signs of any damage. This is a true 138 vin code Super Sport Chevelle that is ready to drive and enjoy.
