2000 Dodge Ram 3500 5.9l Cummins turbo diesel. For parts or repair. This is the best vehicle I have ever owned but I no longer need it and don't have the time to fix it. The Cummins engine runs very strong but other parts of the truck have problems. This is the perfect truck if your looking for a replacement engine for another truck or want a great running Cummins truck that needs some work. The biggest issue is the transmission leaks badly from the inspection cover. The transmission works perfectly but can't be driven due to the leak. The Cummins diesel runs great. It has a 4 inch MBRP stainless exhaust, a cold air intake and a power puck for extra fuel mileage and horsepower. Oil changed every 5000 miles. Has about 256,000 miles. The engine occasionally gives a code for a bad crankcase speed sensor. I bought one but haven't replaced it. It doesn't hurt the performance of the engine but the tach will occasionally drop to zero for a second or two and then return to normal. The injection pump was replaced about 3 years ago. A custom fuel system is installed with two fuel pumps, a fuel water separator and cartridge style fuel filter. If you want to hear the truck run, let me know, I'll send you a video. Other problems with the truck include the front drive shaft needs to be rebuild. It makes a popping noise when the truck is placed in four wheel drive. The truck was repainted in 2007 but has completely lost it's gloss. The paint looks like a flat burgundy. It has rust on the driver's fender and the passenger's side rear bed panel (actually the body isn't bad compared to other 2000's I see). The driver's floor was patched last year. The dash board has cracked badly (see pictures). The driver's seat has a split seam. The frame is very solid. Only some surface rust. This truck was originally a dually but I changed it to single rear wheels. The bed and wheels where switched from a 3/4 ton. The original Dana 80 axle is still installed. The original fold down cup holder broke. I removed it and installed a 7" monitor for a backup camera. I had the camera on a previously installed contractor's cap. I will include the camera.
