Vehicle Detail
1970 Dodge Charger 500 Great numbers matching barn find! Needs complete restoration. 383hp motor / 335 horsepower 727 transmission Numbers confirmed on VIN tag, body stamps, fender tag, door tag, and motor... Did not find build sheet, but only looked in back seat...may be elsewhere. (Could not verify numbers on transmission as the headers are in the way...) 8.75 rear end (don't know ratio) Very complete car. Interior is very complete...but needs restoration. Motor turns over freely and fired when we hot wired and dumped gas in carb. Needs rear floor pans Needs trunk pan Rear frame rails look good... Front frame rails good except small spot under battery tray (very repairable) Roof good. Around back glass has typical Charger rust. Rocker panels good Trunk lid has rust on inside lip. Hood under frame has some rust, but I think it's repairable. Firewall good. the quarter panels could be repaired, but AMD is making replacements. I have some old repair records...and registration and tag receipts, with title numbers, etc. from previous owners. so, I'm sure title could be obtained without too much trouble...but all I have is a bill of sale... Here is fender tag decoded.
