Vehicle Detail
2000 Mercedes E320 Sedan 4Matic W210 ad revision: 05/16/14 (clean photos added) Email me for service history / Carfax. I comply with eBay's Vehicle Purchase Protection Plan which means you don't get stuck with any unwelcome surprises. I can also guide with all shipping arrangements. Silver with black (charcoal) leather interior. Has all power and comfort options including sunroof, heated seats, xenon lights. Cars runs and drives incredibly well -- is solid and tight with no old car looseness. Meticulously maintained to Mercedes standards by Sun Motor Cars Mercedes Benz and garage kept its entire life except for the last year as explained below. Car has many new parts with nearly new tires. Interior is exceptionally clean and nearly perfect. No rust. No salt exposure during my ownership. No apparent salt exposure from previous ownership. I purchased this E320 exactly a year ago at 117,069 as a backup vehicle. After extensive searching, I selected this one for its low mileage, lack of salt exposure, and exceptional maintenance record -- I only purchase German vehicles which have been correctly maintained to factory standards. Any less means too many costly repairs going forward. I'm going to be moving later this year so am selling both this car and my 2004 Cayenne S for the change of locale and needs. Nearly all of my miles are highway. There, I'm able to obtain a surprising 30mpg (computer) at 63 mph. Btw, it's impossible to wash the car right now due to excessive tree pollen and inchworm festival. It starts getting dirty right after I move on to another panel.. so for the next few weeks, please be advised that car as photographed is only rinsed off. Will be properly washed once possible. Condition Statement Condition is all around excellent except as noted here with only very minor signs of use. No accidents. No computer error codes. The air conditioning recently stopped blowing cold air-- the compressor is running fine but something needs servicing. Any car 14 years old is going to have a collection of signs of use and other flaws. Even so, because this is often sight-unseen eBay, I'll do my best to point out all the flaws that distinguish this car from when it was brand new 14 years ago. Keep in mind, my awareness is unlikely to be a 100% perfect: - The passenger side has two paint scratches, the longest of which is about 2". - There's a few paint scratches underneath the license plate (not normally visible). - The front of the car has the normal, tip-of-matchstick size rock chip assortment for a car with this mileage. - Very minor color loss on driver seat leather at entry rub point. Can easily be dyed to rejuvenate appearance. - Pea sized spot on windshield (upper, out of line of size) seems to indicate a prior repair point. Not cracked. - Typical curb rashes on most of the wheels. These were there when I purchased. - Dealer applied pinstripes -- not sure if these are decals or what--are peeling in a few small spots. - Headlight lenses, also normal for this age / miles, clear protective coating showing wear. Replace, repair, or leave be. Contact me for details on how to refinish. - Some of LCD digits are out. All of these W210's get this problem. They're repairable. Contact me for details. Partial digits out = time + gear select; passenger side cabin temperature. All digits out = radio (but radio still works fine and is useable through the steering wheel). Parts needed to repair instrument cluster digits are included. Maintenance- Since the car was current on maint when purchased and I've only driven it a few hundred miles, I've not needed to perform any maint on it. However, a Service B is now a few days overdue. To be on the safe side, new owners should always perform a Service A or B anyway. You can do all this work yourself. I have maintained fluids, proper battery care through routine tending, and leather care (cleaning and treating with Lexol leather care products). Car was driven no less than every two weeks to keep things in good shape. Who am I and what is my reputation? I'm a private seller selling my own cars that I've owned for pleasure driving only. I'm neither a dealer nor a backyard mechanic who fixes up cars and resells them. While not a mechanic by trade, I've been working on cars my whole life, in later years restoring along with professionals several early Porsches and a few other classics. It's safe to say that I'm a knowledgeable auto enthusiast. Although most of my sales on eBay have to do with computers and electronics, I've sold some cars here as well, so my strongest references are the feedback received on those transactions -- at least 3 of which you can still see if scroll through my feedback: " Excellent transaction... would buy another car without hesitation or concern!
