1969 Pontiac GTO 2 dr Hardtop The 'real deal' a true VIN 242 GTO Big Block, 400 ci. engine, Automatic Trans. Fresh Body-off, Frame-up, Rotisserie Restoration Exterior Original GM (rust free) sheet metal. New paint, vinyl top, GTO emblems, stainless lower trim moldings, grille chrome trim, rear chrome bumper, taillight bezels. New weather stripping, seals and window felt all around. 5 restored Ralley wheels with new correct PMD center caps and beauty rings. Car rides and handles like new, no rattles or wind noise. New "GM" "Legendary" bucket seat upholstery. (the very best) New front door panels, carpet and headliner, door & trunk locks. New ignition and headlight switch. (Click on photos to enlarge.) Engine Compartment Rebuilt 400 ci. Big Block from a 1967 GTO. Big valve heads. Starts instantly, Runs perfectly. Very Happy engine! New OEM 4 core radiator and clutch fan, New alternator, regulator, starter, water pump, fuel pump, brake booster, master cylinder, all hoses and belts. Car retains the original style firing system, with all new components. Plugs, points, condenser, rotor cap, rotor button, distributor cap & vacuum advance. (Click on photos to enlarge.) Undercarriage Frame was stripped down and media blasted, then painted with "POR -15" rust inhibitor, before starting assembly. Restoration of the chassis includes new gas tank & lines, wheel bearings, body bushings, brake lines, shoes, pads, rotors, calipers, seals and fasteners. Solid, no rust floors look awesome. New 2 1/2" exhaust front to rear with" Magnaflow mufflers All new steering components, including the power steering box. Handles like it did new in 69. Trunk Restored, rust free trunk. Correct spare Ralley wheel, jack & mat. New locks, latches & seals. Things that still need attention are: 1. New headliner has a loose section over the back seat. 2. Left rear tire has sidewall damage. The front tires are new, rear tires are not. Car is available for inspection in Hernando, Ms. anytime before the auction ends.
