I challenge anyone to find a nicer original un-touched example. It took me over 10 years to find this truck. While most are Red and Green, this was special ordered black with optional original dealer pin stripping on the body. It has its original 216 straight 6 and manual transmission along with its original factory pinstriped 16" wheels. This truck is 100% original and untouched. I have seen alot of phony patina and junk selling for a fortune! I have priced this one to sell due to personal circumstances. Don't snooze, you will wish you bought it later on in life. I purchased this truck from Rifle Colorado from the original owners estate where it was purchased new and never left the state until I bought it and transported it back to Sunny California. YES I have the original title dated March 9 1949 as idicated on the title purchased at Reigan Chevrolet Motor Company. It's the ONLY truck Ive ever seen that still has its original title of its age, PRICELESS to say the least (see picture) It logged 68k original miles then parked in 1976 where it slept for decades and mother nature went to work to create the BEST PATINA EVER. We recently got it running and sounds great and drove around the yard. However, it will need brakes, gas tank boiled, and wakeup work before driven daily on the streets, This truck is VERY solid and has a patina that makes you wanna foam at the mouth! its all complete, original, and ready to take to the next level. Its in my garage right now. I know once its gone I will NEVER be able to replace it. Factory black early Chevy Shortbed 3100's with Patina like this are unheard of.
