This is unit number 434 off of the line, and was shown as a demonstrator cycle to Suzuki dealers in October of 1976 before the model was officially released. The release of the four-stroke GS750 marks the biggest turning point in the history of Suzuki Motorcycles. Prior to this model being produced, Suzuki had made only two-stroke cycles for over twenty years but needed to compete with Honda's CB750 in the four-stroke market to survive. Had the GS750 not done well, Suzuki Motorcycles likely would have gone under before 1980. Fortunately for motorcyclists, and for Suzuki, the twin-cam GS750 ended up as a smashing success and was the fastest production Japanese motorcycle when released. Some of the telling signs which confirm that this is a pre-production bike, beyond the engine/frame numbers, are that it lacks a second front disc brake and engine badges, an incomplete choke mechanism, Japanese writing by hand on many parts, a one-off dealers ignition key, the Suzuki "S" on many fasteners, and a number of other slight differences. For full production by January of 1977, the model was revised to include two front brake discs, as well as a myriad of other minor changes. Featured on this bike are the original tank and side covers. The original exhaust, both rims, the front fender, and the engine covers are amazing and have been hand-polished with great attention to detailing. While the pictures and video demonstrate the quality of this historical cycle, additional high-res photos are available upon request.________________________________________________________________________________ Recent Services: New Battery, New Spark Plugs, Oil/Filter Changed, Carburetors Cleaned, New Fuel/Vacuum Hoses, Timing Adjustment, Control Cables Lubricated, New Signal Flasher Relay, Brake System Flushed Click for Buyers Guide Disclosure and Inspection Notes! ________________________________________________________________________________ Buy-It-Now - at any time the vehicle may be sold to a ready-buyer on an offer basis - don't miss the chance to own a classic!Worldwide Shipping Assistance - Contact with your postal code for a shipping quote today!
