Vehicle Detail

Here is my 1967 Volkswagen Dune Buggy I built a number of years ago. I cannot keep it anymore being I am moving and unfortunately will not have the space to keep it. It starts and idles no problem, shifts fine. Cant begin to say how much has been done on this car because I just redid almost everything. Not sure of original mileage at all. It has a stereo system with front kick panel speakers, sub box and shag fur accented interior, two batteries, custom roof rack, super swamper tires (tires all in great shape), four fog lights in rear engine compartment, two on rear bumper/cage, two on front bumper, 1.25 hitch welded into bumper (jetski was towed with it a couple times, once to a car show and once to the lake). The front seats are from a FOX and welded to vw seat frames. Its a 1600cc motor 4 speed manual trans., external oil cooler and oil filter(under rear cowl), 15" wheels front and back. It has won a few awards at car shows I've gone to and pains me to have to sell it because I love it but maybe someone can give it the time and attention it deserves. The bad news is Ive been through two sets of performance push rod tubes, almost two hundred bucks, and both have leaked after installation, original tubes never leaked but were bent so I needed to change them, recently I bought original stainless tubes just never got a chance to put them on, so she still leaks oil. I put dual carbs Kadron 40mm on it being the tires are a bit larger than normal and the 36pict carb wasnt cutting it, carbs just rebuilt but carbs need to be synced, car bogs down upon acceleration until rpms come up. Paint looks nice, its 2007 VW Platinum Grey, I think 2007. Anyway couple small dings on each side of car nothing major. The front cowel as shown in pics is starting to rust under the paint, didnt make me happy either but can be fixed easily and resprayed(paint will match being its NOT faded at all, short of getting caught outside this winter under two car covers it has always been garage kept. The center caps on the wagon wheels and the muffler have started to show a little rust. I have a chrome stinger exhaust like the one one the car but it had discolored (blued) and I swapped it for the powder coated silver, I should have stayed with the blued chrome. Anyway that can go with the car also. Im selling it as is being there are a couple things that are little issues like the carbs needing to be synced as above mentioned but nothing major at all. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have regarding the car. Clear Title You are responsible for transportation of vehicle. Payment is appreciated within three days of end of auction.
