This is a 1971 Opel GT, I purchased from the original owner 7 years ago, I am the second owner. It has been a California car all it's life, and garaged the whole time I had it. There is no rust on the car, except a couple small bubbles showing through the paint as shown in pictures. The car was restored about 7 years ago, the car won the best in show at an Opel car show, and the car won top five at a car show in Redondo Beach. Here is the list of all the good stuff: new custom paint, new custom interior, new custom chrome wheels and tires, new clutch, new brakes, new shocks, new water pump, new belts, new rubber throughout, new chrome, new points / plugs / condenser, all gauges work except the clock, and the speedo is frozen but the odometer still works. Previous owner said the engine was rebuilt sometime before I bought it. Headlights work perfectly, lock into place perfectly. Engine runs smooth and strong. Car does not overheat. Only one small crack on the dashboard near the vin tag. Now the bad stuff: engine drips a little oil as expected, steering is loose and could use a rack and pinion rebuild, windshield shows some slight de-lamination in the corners. Sad to give the car up, but I have to make room for a new project. Local pickup is fine, buyer takes responsibility of shipping. Feel free to ask any other questions about the car. Thought I would add that the car will also come with many extra parts. All Stock parts you see missing, I have and will be included in the sale. This includes: full set of stock rims complete with center caps and beauty rings (were removed from car when car was new), full set of true-spoke crome wheels with tires, stock luggage rack that attaches to the rear deck, stock radio, stock steering wheel, stock air breather, and multiple extra ash trays and sun visors.
